Trevor, thank you for writing this report, it certainly sounds like everyone enjoyed themselves at this year's show.

In my youth I too attended a couple of WOA shows in the 1990s, and then a Alt. WOA show in Huddersfield several years later. I'm still something of an Amiga chap, so would be curious to attend another show in the near future - something to consider if I ever return to Blighty perhaps.

The restaurant menu did not sound terribly friendly for vegetarians - I wonder how Jan faired? ;)

Cheers,
James

There were a couple of vegetarians and they seemed to be eating a plate of -- well -- vegetables

@jthomas

I hope to be back next year!

@redfox

You are welcome! I had a wheeely good time (that one is for Evert @ Hyperion). I would have liked to attended the upcoming Amiwest to meet our North American Amigan cousins but unfortunately I have other commitments. Maybe next year.

@TrevorDick

Hi trevor, just got back from holiday and seen your report. Good one m8.I can only say what a freindly bunch of guys we met in Italy and how enthusiastic they are about their products, with good reason since they have been doing all the hard work. It was nice to see a contingent of Brits and even though some of us don't like raw meat we enjoyed the meal. Our tortuous holiday plans prevented us from staying for the sunday lunch, maybe a good thing since he car was loaded enough already, but I would like to thank our Italian hosts for a wonderful weekend. And I too would not hesitate to come back next year.

@Swisso

Ditto the above comments

Thanks to our Italian hosts that made us feel very welcome and put on a well organised show.

I used to organise large yacht races each requiring two suppers as well. As a vegetarian I always provided for vegetarians but the flesh eaters generally ate that before I got there!!! I still jack up a supper every December for the club but last year decided to cater for vegetarians, diabetics and people with wheat and dairy allergies. The supper wound up entirely vegetarian with everyone expressing satisfaction!

And that from the land of 40 million sheep! Shame on you.

Actually I have a real fondness for NZ and can't wait until February next year when I visit my daughter again in Wellington. Go AB's. (and England of course)
