OWB - problem sites

Origyn Web Browser is a fantastic piece of work, and brings the ability for us Amiga users to finally view web pages closer to how the designers intended. However, there are still some sites which may not display properly, or worse still, crash OWB.

Use this topic to post any websites which can cause OWB to freeze, DSI, or just display incorrectly. State the full URL and state the issue with the site.

Please, don't look at this topic and see it as being in any way disparaging to the great work done by Joerg. This is merely a way for us all to keep track of those sites which are known to cause problems, and I hope serve as a way for Joerg to fine tune his amazing browser.

:edit
ALso when posting, please state the version of OWB you are using. This can then be amended when a page is viewable in a newer revision.

http://www.facebook.com/ - V1.20 - initial page displays correctly, but upon entering sign on details and clicking Login, the browser waits and does nothing.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/blogs/ - v1.20 - this displays correctly, and even allows you to sign in. But Post Comment doesn't seem to work in the blog pages.

FIXED with v1.12 - http://www.amigaworld.net - v.1.20 - displays perfectly, but CPU usage goes up to 100%.

http://faq.eu.playstation.com/bc/bcGames.htm?generation=PS2 - v1.20 - site displays correctly, able to view some of the A-Z list. However, after a few clicks of next or previous, it no longer functions (javascript; ?).

FIXED with v1.20 - http://www.bbc.co.uk - v1.20 - sits waiting for the page to load, CPU usage 100%.

OWB-1.12

The browser will freeze for a while here if I input an
incorrect URL, ie,
http://www.ebayco.uk/ or
http://www.ebay.co.u/

I'd closed it down and started it again, it froze on the restart too.
I performed a soft reboot and up came the purple screen with the insert
floppy disk prompt, quite interesting actually, I haven't seen that for
years! After a hard reboot everything was back to normal.

Still, OWB is in its infancy and I'm sure it has a lot of growing pains
yet to come

@amipal

http://www.aftonbladet.se/ can make owb freeze after a while and it also makes some weird drawing sometimes once the page has finished loading (hard to explain and not very obvious at first).

My problem :

the only links that work are image-links. Normal links don't work at all. Launching OWB from the shell doesn't show anything.

V1.10

I have problem whit Norway's larges newspaper.

www.vg.no FIXED whit 1.13

It renders OK, but freezes after the page is displayed, it think the problems comes from a Javascript, I hope Jorge find the time to make an option to disable JavaScripts.

@NutsAboutAmiga

I suspect that some flash animations can also freeze it by keeping the cpu to 100%

@amipal

ebaymotors U.S.

version 1.10

Once I try to narrow down a search under parts and accessories, it locks up OWB.

Maybe tonight I can see if 1.12 works any better on that site.

@lucaricossa

But there is no flash plug in support, so it can't be that.
The problem most be Javascript, can’t think of any thing else.

@NutsAboutAmiga

vg.no is also used as a "test site" for Opera afaik.
So when OWD can handle that site ok, it is a good browser.

may be it's because of that : it gets the file ant it doesn't know what to do with it, hence the infinite cpu load...

Yes but Opera is Norwegian web browser, so it makes perfect sense.

@ShInKurO

Have you configured the screen correctly in "Screens Preferences"?

"OrigynWebBrowser" without any spaces.

See the "README_AMIGAOS4" in the OWB dir and look at the info for OWB version 1.9.

@all

Can we try to keep on-topic? This topic is for problem sites, rather than technical difficulties. Thanks guys.
