I'm happy, that they reworked the window design. The layout looks much better than in the first official screenshots.
I also ordered OS4.1 now, even if I almost stopped using my A1... But I want to see it!

I know Epistula were part of OS 4.0 Classic, is it still bundled?

No, it's not unfortunately. I did compile a new version with various fixes for inclusion on the CD but Rogue had to take it off due to it being unstable on OS4.1 for whatever reason, which is understandable.

I never did, and probably never will, get to the bottom of why it was suddenly unstable because I wasn't given the opportunity to fix it for this OS release (which is partly my fault in a round about kind of way), but it's still unfortunate as I would have liked it to be on there.

However, it doesn't help that I wasn't informed of any bugs, or sent any crashlogs, or even spoken to about how unstable it was from the OS4.1 testers before the CD had gone gold.

Saying that, you get the same amount of help from the huge amount of whingers on here that bang on about it being unstable but at the same time do nothing to help you fix those problems. You've got no idea how annoying that is.

In light of what I've just said, all I can say it works very well for me, and if it doesn't work as well for you then I'm afraid that's just tough luck, use SabreMSN.

The trick is to find one user you can latch onto who can reproduce the problems easily, and rope him into working with you to test exe's until it works! (Thank you Geit and pegw for helping with WookieChat crashes. :)

There's a few other MSN clients popping up too around the place. I wouldn't concede defeat just yet. You should remember why you started on the project in the first place, because it was fun to code! SabreMSN isn't unbeatable, and users LOVE choice.

i wonder if anyone has tryet to get one off these VGA to DVI/hdmi converters and then set the resalution right. and record it with an HHD recorder. burn it out on a dvd and then copy the file back to the amiga one. then convert it and trow it up on utube, i think the kvalati will be better then with a mobil phone.

i got a s-video bypass. from kong computers
you set the box to the vga then you set the monitor cable to the box.then you set s-video or pal to the box. so you have tv and vga monitor at the same time. there is a usb power thef to better the signal. i got ps2 power thef that i set to it too.that way its working better. but i dont have an HDD recorder i got an #### up vcr.
the box dobble the signal but allso convert it. so its native. not any scaling #### or amatur convert of the power its convert the picthurs too. it was made in mind for pepole with laptops.
but you have to set the resalution in mind for the tv. and whot ever you do there will allways be the same on both screens,
i havent found any hhd recorder that you can copy data from via network and that way back to the amigaone.
is ther any other way ?

i wonder ask iff the tv-out works now in os 4.1 ????
i planing to get an radion 9250 256 mb for my micro.
then #### the usb and pio mode. if that whot it takes to get it to work.
relly hope hyperion can do something...

No, no, no... I'm not conceding defeat by any means I'm busy re-writing the whole application now but I've got to get through coding the mountain of internal MUI Custom Classes required to make the application how I'd like to see it, for example my new dynamic multi-tabs class is coming on nicely.

I've learned a lot through writing Epistula and as I'm going through it from the start again I have a pretty good idea where to go now, as opposed to hacking code into places. The main problem is making it modular enough for it to work with plugins and multiple prototcols. If it had just been MSN I would have chucked it ages ago

@Snuffy

The video show two little program from Hans Joerg, the leens: with this program you can zoom part of the screen with right mouse button. ScreenThumbs: it show a thumbnail of your wb screen and in real time you can watch in it for example the moviment of windows or other, these programs make use of hardware compositing feature of OS4.1

regards
