Nice, but he says in the vid, basically that the community can make a port which works on the remastered version. So,,,, everyone should first buy the damn game instead and then look if the old version works (or not). Or, as someone said 'hosted by the new engine'.Think that EA didn't wanna update their code for 2020. Smart move to let others do the hard work instead.

I just saw this post. I'm icecoldduke I created the standalone branch that you guys were talking about. I've added quite a lot since then. Including replacing all the ddraw bits with OpenGL, Lua Support and a bunch of over stuff, but if anyone has anyone questions let me know. The branch does run standalone with the old freeware assets.

It took me some time (ten months), a lot of work (mostly endian conversions) but here it is :

A proper Command & Conquer port based on EA source code from 2020.
Recently added Mission Pack support.

Requires v4 or Pistorm Emu68.
I've released source code if someone (BSzili?) likes to optimise it for 060 or make a PPC port.
