Anyone got any idea when aCube are going to ship another batch of Sam440 to distributors? A couple of weeks ago there was a rumour that after the 5th of January there should be some units delivered. Unfortunately I have heard nothing since.

So, whats the word?

I've cancelled my order for SAM. Amigakit sent a refund back to me.
They've proofed to be great seller.

From watching the posts on amigaworld, amiga.org and amigans there would seem to be a new batch of boards shipping as new users are popping up.

I am reasonable confidant of seeing my board before the end of the month after speaking to amigakit but I don't have any more information than acube have released previously on Amigaworld.

I guess some people are annoyed that we have returned to the "no hardware available" state again in such a short period of time.

I wonder why acube are producing such a small amount of units. Probably they are now concentrating on SAM440 Flex - anyway, whatever the reason is, it certainly doesnt reflect a very positive impression.

I think I understand the guy. Its not the delivery date per se that is frustrating, but the total lack of information.

1. When is the backplate shipping?

2. What about the next batch - when is it coming?

I have emailed these questions to Acube and they ignored my emails.

This is why I cancelled my order. Too much misinformation is going on. I will probably buy it when it will be really available for costumers. It's was a pragmatic move from myself. I've preferred to have money in my wallet instead of waiting who knows how long.

I didn't lost my interest at all, it was a frustration feelings. I hope Acube will begin to treat their costumers seriously.

Yes, of course! I have bought everything needed already... a nice (and not cheap) mini-itx case, a hdd, dvd-writer... even keyboard and mouse. And of course Sam and OS4.1 have already been paid for. Its a LOT of money when you do the math. I think we deserve at least, some explanation.

They already shiped them. I got mine yesterday from Vesalia.

They must have shipped a very tiny amount then because I emailed Vesalia yesterday about new shipments and they told me "they have no idea".

What misinformation has Acube given you then? I don't think they said or did anything wrong so far.

Because they have chosen to make the smallest price as possible for all Amigans.
If it had been sold at 600 euros, you can be sure there would not be any delays.

I understand. Anyway, Vesalia let me know that the next batch is scheduled to ship towards the end of January. So, its another 2 weeks to go. I guess I can survive that
