Some people reported about SAMs (new batch) with vertical ATX connector.
Does it mean you have changed it again?

Did you check ALINEA-Computer in Germany. I got an old Stock on there end of November... normally the say on the HP if they run out of stock (on the phone they said, they still have some... - that was beginning of the year...)

1 Quarter is only 3months... If you had order in 2007 you would have your SAM440EP in like 10-20 days.

Now that there is some demand from the community etc... you have to be patient and stand in the queue. 2 more weeks is nothing, one more quarter is the name of the game.

Good news is, no bankruptcies here in Amiga Land. Take a look:

I believe i ordered on nov 15 or so and i was told it wont be shipped this time.. So i am pretty damn sure they received few.

IMHO, at least the OS4.1 BETA copy for Sam440EP has been in stock for 1 month steady now. An no signs of running out of stock there.

First time in a long time, as a lot have people have been saying.
To have the following at the same time:

1) OS 4 CD
2) New PPC systems
3) AmiUpdates, AmiNet updates, OS4Depot updates.

I think we've all most done a full circle here in the underground. One more station, just across the bridge. Lets hope it holds up.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic when you say, "They've proofed to be great seller." In case you are being sarky...

AmigaKit have always been great with me: for example, I ordered an updated PCMCIA network card as I didn't think the one I had would work with OS4. Matt said that it should, I tried it again (having read the instructions) and it did. I got a credit note for that, which was good of AmigaKit given that it was idiocy on my part.

For me: I too am still waiting for my Sam board, but I'd rather be in the queue than not and having to wait until they are generally available (which could be months).

Two things,

One, I ordered my sam in september, and it arrived in november, this is when they had the hardware.

Two, I rang Acube directly and found it a quicker way to communicate with them, versus my emails.

I am really keen to know, as your guys are up to your fourth batch already within like 4 months. That as enormous turnaround for a niche market, where most only expected 50 to be sold.

The general guestimate of the number of A1s sold is somewhere between 1000-1500 units.

If there were 3000 SAMS sold, don't you think we'd see a *lot* more new users, or people posting with SAMs?

I'd certainly be curious if ACube wishes to share that info, but....won't be surprised if they don't.

No, not necessarily, as many users decide not show their signatures in what hardware they are running, also to note, many of the new users, may already have been on here since 2006, like some I know in Amiga.org, and have simply been keeping an eye out for new hardware.

BUT

Alas, I must say your point is a good one, as you are probably right.

None the less, there was a pole happening, and there were almost as many sam440ep votes as A1's, indicating the sam user base is already close(perhaps) to the possible current A1 user base. All this in a time span, like I said, of four months.

I ordered my SAM at the beginning of October from AmiKit and I haven't recieved anything, much less got any updates on the delay. I'm really considering getting a refund and hope on AROS for x86 instead.
