@Tuxedo

Until I have a working port of libpangocairo there won't be any updated Wesnoth compiles for AmigaOS 4.x. Unfortunately it's not as easy as just compiling libpango/libpangocairo for AmigaOS 4.x. As it happens it needs glib which in turn needs gettext. Both of which are a serious pain in the ass to compile.

@salass00

Has anyone donated to you, after all, battle for wesnoth is an overall nice turn based strategy game, and it isnt that old, 2006 game by memory, making it still nice to play, and gives a feeling of amiga modern gaming possibilities.

Cheers

@Tuxedo

I have been playing an earlier version of battle for wesnoth on my amiga for a while now, think it version 1.4, let me check.

yep, 1.4.6 Ive got it up and running.

have you gone to my webpage at all? And had a look through all the programs Ive tested so far that work on OS4.1? Or should I say SAM hardware?

Many tested would work on OS4.1 for other amiga hardware also I believe.

Anyway, you are referring to a newer version, and yes, I dont have that one.

Cheers.

@Gebrochen

The latest "stable" version of Battle for Wesnoth is "1.6.4" and the latest "development" version is "1.7.1".

The AmigaOS 4.0 version is only old because I haven't yet been able to compile any version >= "1.5.1" because of the missing dependencies mentioned previously in this thread.

Same here (Sam440Ep@667Mhz). The ingame scrolling is a bit problematic, cpu reaches 90% when "cpu is thinking" and overall is above 70% when facing and/or moving lots of units.

The game is playable though but if you play for more than two hours straight there is a chance of getting a headache.
