| Well, I just upgraded my Mac Intel laptop to Snow Leopard, I wish I didn't...
Boot time has gone from 16 sec to 1 min 45 sec, Program launch time has increased a little bit, Shut down also takes 3 times as long, and generally doesn't feel any faster.
So don't waste your money....

Did you run an upgrade or clean reinstall? I don't have Snow Leopard but both times I did the mistake of upgrading OS X instead of running a clean installation it, from 10.3->10.4 and 10.4->10.5, ended in unbearable slowness and general misbehaviour. _________________

So far the Mac Mini and MacBook seem ok after getting the upgrade in our house. I have not messed with them much since though, and my wife uses them more than me. But I'll be keeping an eye out on this more now that you have mentioned it. _________________ Pegasos2 G3 running AOS 4.1 and MorphOS 2.0 Amikit user, tinkering with Icaros VM (AROS) EFIKA owner Amiga 1200 |

No upgrade or reinstall mentioned by Wol. Zardoz reports issues after upgrades from OS X versions prior to Snow Leopard (10.3 >= 10.4 &> 10.5). The problems included slowness and misbehaviour of the system post-upgrade or clean reinstall attempt. |
