Great work with TimberWolf ! Really nice pics.

Appreciate the work you have put in.

Interesting site a-eon.com.

a-eon ? eon means maybe eternity / forever so a-forever = amiga forever ?

Happy New Year !

Happy new Amiga Year All!!!

I am not interested in Timberwolf, imo, OWB is awesome and it does all the work for me. But the teasing of the map is pretty cool! Well, we have entered 1/1/10 here in Greece 9 hours already. Come on, do not keep us waiting any longer!!! :)

well the a in a-eon is going to stand for Amiga, and eon is described here:

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_long_is_a_eon

-----
In geology, an eon is an abritrary length of time having no specific length of age. An eon is the the category encompassing the largest periods of time in geologic history.

-----

So probably be interpreted as Amiga for the future...

(with a bit of poetic licence ;) )
Mark

While we wait for the next piece of the puzzle (and the Alpha release of Timberwolf), remember that you can still make donations to the bounty (and the other open bounties).

@Rogue

Sweet, nice looking screenshots - I'm sure the vocal few on here represent the silent many in thanking you for your hard work on this port - having firefox available for any AmigaOS flavour is a welcome, familiar sign of quality which is a positive thing for attracting new users.

I'd love to see X-marks (formerly foxmarks) available for this too, having used it exclusively for around 5 years to manage my bookmarks across several platforms.

I'm looking forward to getting an OS4.x system at some point this year, although I'm not sure on what hardware platform at the moment, as I have no real need of a desktop system. (Strange that I find myself in this position, having always supported the continuation of Amiga-NG OSes as desktop systems...)

All the best for the New Year to the OS4 and Timberwolf devteams (with some Venn-diagram-overlap ).

@CodeSmith

Awesome. You gotta be havin' too much time on your hands.

This reminds me of William Gibson's Pattern Recognition

This is making 2010 already more fun than (nearly) all of 2009.
Nothing can top having had "the" lawsuit settled, though.

Very cool. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Can we love Hyperion any more than we already do?

OM means 10 in some Turkic dialects.

ON means 10 in Turkish.

ON also means a very large number in Turkish and other dialects. (as in EON)

@ikir

The amazing thing is that all of this build-up was started from screenshots of a very complete looking Firefox. The fact that the Amiga is getting Firefox is a pretty good thing in itself and almost warrants it's own build-up.

The fact that Hyperion are using Timberwolf as merely a launcher for the next chapter in the Amiga's history is impressive.
