@Geennaam

Yes, it is all there. Amiga and Transputing, InMos dead and raised as XMOS, HeliOs, Bristol... I think we've got it.

I'd love it if Xena was capable of emulating x86 and running VST's, VSTI's made for PC as a plugin under some kind of Amiga DAW. This way we wouldn't need programmers to make Amiga versions of their VST's.

Just a thought as it'd be difficult to encourage programmers to make Amiga version of their programs.

yggdrasil is the world tree, not the tree of life- also norse mythology doesnt seem related to where the hints otherwise is taking us, and its entirely unrelated to the saxons.

the very first tree, indeed called the tree of life, is the one in the garden of eden from the book of genesis.

I've put myself through it and dig through the complete site. Noted all the hints, hidden messages, non hidden messages.... and boy... I feel dumb! I can't make anything out of it.

The only thing I could make out of it is that whatever Nemo is, it has a lot of flexibility. Probably a load of programmable logic ('... you're going to tell us.'). It's custom again going beyond the current PCs (3D screens?).

Man.... is it tomorrow yet?

Oh and probably we have to take a look at the avatar of the author of the site...

To quote The Big Book Of Amiga Hardware:

"Commodore Transputer Amiga 2000: This is a Transputer card developed for the Amiga by Commodore Braunschweig. A transputer is similar to a computer but is designed for massive parallelism unlike conventional computers which generally work in a serial manner. The card uses transputers designed by InMOS and was designed to run a unlike-like operating system called Helios. Unfortunately Commodore stopped the project in the late stages. "

It is beyond computing, it's transputing.

That fits the puzzle!

@Thread

In 20000 leagues Nemo entered into a rage (anger) and a storm (which could be interpreted as "rage") at co-ordinates long 105, lat -15, although as this is the middle of the bloody Indian Ocean, and doesn't fit with any of the chip numbers I've seen mentioned, I can't see why this would help.

Anyway, just for reference here are the two unsolved riddles:
Quote:

To start, just look at the very first page,
To follow, begin where Nemo entered into a rage.
Then add to that what the Phoenicians used to see,
The end was found, fricatively wound, in the branches of the very first tree.
My whole was born in a place where a Celtic river was by Saxons, crossed,
A new incarnation of a parallel, once thought lost.

and
Quote:

An age from the page of the Book of Law,
Shall come to know an Olympian foe;
Greek strife (formerly) once in, now outside,
A Lazarus snatched, to join the ride.

Uh, so which is it? Do you want everything open, or do you want to hire hit men to deal with anyone that uses it? Those are mutually-exclusive ideas there, choose one, as you cannot have both.

The allusions to transputers and the possible involvement of Dave Haynie are interesting (although he wasn't too complimentary regarding developments over the last decade).

The architecture of the Metacomco Transputer that was pitched to Commodore and eventually purchased by Atari seems vaguely familar, as is the involvement of InMOS:

@Geennaam

XENA is connected to the Xorro slot. Why not one on the motherboard and more on a card in the Xorro slot?

Pardon my ignorance what what's the difference between the transputer idea and modern multicore processors?

@DoodooHead
So if it is XMOS will it need cores like and FPGA or is this something transparent to the user and/or coder?

I think I know the answer really, it needs a programed core. If so, then who is actually going to write them?

That is a interesting PA Semi using thing...
http://www.transtech.co.uk/tm31.html

Perhaps they have designed the Nemo board?

And here can be seen some ideas what XCore things can/could do.

David, the giant killer could be David May, CTO of XMOS...and formerly of Inmos

Lazarus to me means ressurection, which comes from the New Testament when Jesus ressurected Lazarus

Supplying board info does not necessarally mean that it has to be open (source) as in
'Go ahead and build your own with our designs'. It just means that the more info people
have, the more ideas may be generated.

If you recall, the originals supplied a great deal of such info either free or for not too
high a price.

I have nothing particularly intelligent to add about the missing/hidden CPU under "But almost", but it does seem strange there are 4 "screw holes" around it. Maybe used for heatsink fan? Although would a 20 Watt CPU need a fan? (Assuming the 20 Watts are for the CPU & not X/Xena/XCore/etc).

Well, 20W is a lot of power. It might not sound a lot, but on a small device like that? That'll be a fair amount of heat to dissipate! It might not need a fan if the right heatsink is used, but it'll most definitely need a decent heatsink to shed the heat generated by that kind of power. So the four screw holes are almost certainly for a heatsink, whether passively or actively cooled.

I still think that we could find interesting info searching on WikiMedia.

The TimberWolf screenshot suggest this. They was about to upload something.
