Shhh ....

A little bird whispered in my ear that the regular betatesters
now have the AOS4 Beta CD in their gritty hands (as of 24th
of january, apparently). Once they are done, regular
A1-owners will get to do the mass beta-testing, apparently
(last part is my own conjecture).

So it's in "beta-beta" right now ...

@SlimJim

Best news yet SlimJim and thankyou -- these tidbits are invaluable.

Beta++ on its way --- how long a few days, a week (pray no longer than a week).

@runetrek

They will not be impressed with a beta release.
It´s still vaporware according to their "rules".

Hey, I think we need to notify the fence-sitters.

To all those people who were waiting for the OS to come out before ordering their AOnes:

IT"S OUT!!!!!!!!
P.S. Is it possible to edit the "when it's done" smilie to read "It's done"?

@Marky_D_Sahd

Oh no, your shouting will wake up the trolls for sure!

Seriously, nothing's changed really. The beta-testers have received a new bunch of betas. What's new? Better not to make too much fuss about it to the "outsiders" until it's in the hands of us early-birders.. (Which will, hopefully, happen any hour now.. )

Err... Any chance the beta-testers were just the ones who were on the top of the mailing list and the other AOne ownerswill be getting theirs in a few days?? Hmmm?

Wishful thinking.

Oh, by the way:
IT'S OUT!!!

Is there any plans for a OS4 Demo in Norway?

Arcon would be a great opportunity to show it to a non-amiga audience, and it's not before the end of June, so the finished product could actually be out by then. Arcon is a role-playing convention, held annually in Oslo, if you were wondering.

@Marky_D_Sahd

As from this date, I´m technically an earlybirder too.

With some luck, my A1 and the beta will arrive at the same time.

Look below for an update.

Damn .. Just when I sent my hard drive back to Ebuyer !!

( They sent the wrong one ... I ordered a 120 Gb and they sent a 80gb)

Still ... If os4 takes a week to get to me, I might have my new drive by then.

@runetrek

When we have the pre-release, there will be an OS4 demo in Trondheim. Either at NTNU (www.ntnu.no) or at Trondheim Science Centre (viten.ntnu.no).

It will be announce here and at polarboing.com when we have an actuall beta copy or pre-release in our hands.

@SlimJim

That little bird is sure to get a hit on the beak. Such information should normally not leave our beta list.

Ahem...

It's not out yet. The beta testers have the first version, but that is it. There's still time required to test it correctly. Don't get your hope too high, (yet)

@AmigaOneProductions

It's not really funny - it puts even more pressure on the developers now, and also if its held up again then you guys get even more agitated.
