As many of you know I have been designing cases for niche/custom boards for some time (Minimig, 1541 Ultimate...):

www.loriano.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk

But in parallel I have also been working on a new case for the SAM/Natami/mini-itx boards, in my spare time.

The idea started when towerising (is that a word?!) the A1200 was all the rage:

my take on it...

http://loriano.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/DayP14.htm

then four-five years ago I started sketching a replacement case for the A1200 which was later converted to accept mini-itx board (this is when the SAM came out), which in turn....was converted again to accept the SAM Flex as well!

I have invested a lot of time, effort and money into this and it is the biggest thing I have ever done...I have called it Loriano's Most Ambitious Project.

Anyway since I have started running out of cash now that I am so close to finishing it I thought of buying some time by posting some snippets/clues now and then and let you guys have fun, I am not very good with riddles so you'll see just cropped pictures and words that will appear on my site:

http://loriano.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/game.htm

Hopefully a fully working prototype will be ready in the next 2-3 weeks...it's all down to raising the last bit of money needed, so my laptop is going to end up on ebay soon.

Have fun!

@TheDaddy

You should have announced yourself a bounty before...

:D

Is that the power button?

@TheDaddy

Maybe it would make more sense if we could use normal standard cases, what we really need are people organizing production and bounties for a further development of Minimg hardware.

Supporting the Minimig from Acube doesn't make sense when there are some advanced Minimig layouts available that just waits for a production run.

Examples:
Minimig ITX: Do not open with Windows
Minimig AGA: Do not open with Windows

@Arko

This new design is for mini-itx and Flex boards, so anything within those standards "should" work, Minimigs included.

I can't use standard cases and adapt them as it wouldn't be an original design...and also the main bulk (about 85%) of this new case is completed and it would make no sense starting all over again.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Maybe the case is full?

Here's hoping that it's a wedge keyboard case like the Amiga fantasy.
I think non-flex SAMs would get popular rather quickly.
If it is a wedge keyboard case, have you spoken to ACube about a package deal?

Hmmm... tons of nbsps in the source of the page. Maybe I should count them, and I will get a hint to the price of the case.
