now you are the guy that write much.....

but i try to explain what i mean in short form, then you can say if thats better understandable, if you critic my long post.

When A-Eon/Hyperion make no teaser announcements, then there is no naysaying possible.everybody know what CPU is in, and nobody need ask if Agnilux is a possible CPU Supplier for X1000.

So this thread is not open, Kronos did not post, Hondos get no bad vibrations, do not the list of naysayers and put my name onto it.I need not respond to that, Arko and you do not respond to my post etc....

so all should clear, when A-Eon/Hyperion do not their teaser announcements that make big hope by somebody all went better........

and if somebody think i repeat the same arguements again and again, then he need just not say that this arguments are wrong, then i need not bring another actual example.

I never said that *I* never wrote big posts (like a whole screen full without any quotes)... although I reject that I *commonly* do so.

I also write with pretty good English, which I think helps a *lot* (you're less likely to give-up trying to understand what i wrote).

But then instead of "Nay Sayers" we have "Doom Mongers" & "Pessemists" who think that nothing good is happening. AEon chose to announce what they were able to about the X1000, which I think was good.

What I think is bad is people who *repeatedly demand* all the answers, when AEon has clearly stated they cannot give all the answers at the moment. As we cannot buy the X1000 yet, I honestly do not see the problem.

AEon/Hyperion cannot "please all the people, all of the time" but I think they have done their best to "please most reasonable people, most of the time".

Exactly! I don't go picking fights on German forums, writing large posts in almost incomprehensible German. (Assuming I could speak German a little, which I can't.)

That is really no excuse, IMHO, my native tongue is Greek. Do you see me writing like Bernd? The first step is for Bernd to admit that there is a serious communication problem between him and the world, which he does not seem to want to do. I am certain that he would have no problems clarifying certain things he writes, if he admitted there's an issue instead of going all defensive and posting another twenty lines of broken English instead.

Most of the time, I'm afraid...

I did not say that it is an excuse.

ChrisH pointed out that he writes with "pretty good english".
I just wanted to remind him that this is not such an accomplishment for someone whose native language is english.

Haha in my experience most alleged native English speakers would be doing extremely well to write "pretty good english". I moved to Oz 6 years ago and I regularly read documents written for external consumption that are worse than sms messages in their construction.

In summary if someone is writing to an online forum "pretty good english" then I personally find this to be quite extraordinary and indeed a triumph over modern un-education.

So in this weeks micromart, Trevor discusses the nemo manufacturer. The article reports that AEon used a British company to design the motherboard. Which British companies have this capability? My bet is that XMOS are both XCORE suppliers and Nemo designers.

@thread

Communication is difficult, even in your Native Tongue or Mother Language and even at the best of times. I think we have established that. That a person *chooses* to attempt lucid communication is a foreign language is something that should be applauded, not scoffed at. Cut the person some slack.

Can we please keep this non-personal? And on topic?

AlexC in post #53 said "no", he's close to the x1000 design, so I accept his declaration.

@ddni

I've very sure XMOS is not the designer, XMOS people's posts suggest that.

But there are companies like this: http://varisys.co.uk/ that have experience of both Xcore AND PA6T.

http://varisys.co.uk/vm31.html
http://varisys.co.uk/services.html
+ March 18th, 2009: After two and half years of working together Varisys and XMOS have complete their 16th development/evaluation board.

etc...

I never had any bad vibrations because of Hyperions teaser in early january. Infact I was thrilled and happy at the thought of the new X-1000 and the way it was presented like a riddle teaser....that was great fun and really really exciting!! (way to go hyperion

Sadly a small handfull of people can't have the thought of good news for AOS - and immediately tries to ruin even the smallest bit of joy we have...by nitpicking and putting down every effort anybody makes to make OS4 succed.

I really hope the AmigaOne X-1000 will be a huge succes, and you guys should too....it will bring more users to aros/mos if the X-1000 gets beyound our community. It's a bit like football, normally you don't want to cheer for the local enemy team, but if the team suddenly participates in Champions League, then surely it will be good for your team as well. Why is it good? - simply because of the attention drawn to that area/clubs. So instead of fighting each others platforms, we should celebrete each others succes...anything else just hurts the amiga scene.

And now the x-1000 tries to reach out beyond our small community, and mos and aros don't seem to be so lucky to have something up their sleeves, that could draw attention like the aos/x-1000 combo can. But i would like if mos and aros could go out and bury windows, or get an exclusive deal with a big phone company or something, but unfortunately they cannot right now. Aos cant either, but just because something good is happening to aos - doesn't mean it destroys mos or aros.....it makes them stronger!! - thats how it works if we fight together in this giant computer scene dominated by everything else but us!

But we will come back.....slowly but surely and someday aos, mos, and aros will be stronger.....no matter who takes the lead in the outside world.
