The situation with AmigaOne in 2004 is one that shouldn't be repeated even in a remote sense. I also tried debian, not unexpectedly went back to my A1200... With the first pr of OS4, I ended up borrowing the complete machine for a couple of months, until the first update.

Any new hardware should ship with a usable OS. Example: Somebody with a trusty Sam based system buys a new system or board. They probably hope to make it their primary system, maybe selling the previous system ASAP.

The more Amiga systems the better and noone is going to ever dissuade me from buying any.

The more negative posts I read about hardware, the more I know and believe Amiga is succeeding. Negative posts only reinforce the reality that the competitors are fragile and in a terrifying position.
