| The T-shirts need to be explicit otherwise would you wear a T-shirt saying "Female friend" ?

If you could discuss Amiga T-Shirts/merchandise etc with Hyperion and AmigaKit that would be brilliant. AmigaKit is a super seller and I would buy the merchandise that you guys could come up with. And as you say, more money for the retailers and also for the development of Amiga in the future. This is a win win !!

Allright. I also suppose MorphOS and AROS teams might want to take care of their logos and deliver the T-shirts to any retailer, most preferably some g'old Amiga goods retailer.
Most preferably making it a one-stop-shop for many items; classic expansions, AmigaOS and AROS systems, software, magazines n stuff, kick and gaming also.
They, too, need donations for their work, no less than the AmigaOS entities that rather seem more firm as they are actually behind the real companies with the investments already secured. Last edited by DiskDoctor on 28-Jul-2010 at 06:48 PM.

Maybe instead of spitting at each other here or elsewhere, blue crap vs. red crap stuff, why would we not start another battle, this time a T-shirts battle? Why do I want to support T-shirt companies? Send the money to your OS developer, be he red or blue or in your case -- Icaros Desktop 1.2., and shut-up! _________________

Firstly because it's not much money that goes to the T-shirt vendor anyway. So another tier should not make you poorer. Secondly because if you wear a T-shirt, it probably will end up on the respective OS sales increase. Not much but that's the best way to help your favorite OS to be sold in more copies (thus funding new functionality etc.) So treat this as a user-driven marketing. The best effective to date, if there's much T-shirts around. And the third thing, well, it's the law, man, IP law call it. You gotta have the license to put a trademark on anything. If you don't like it, write to your congressman.

First of all I just bought AmigaOS4.0 shirt to support it before I get it. Secondly I just await MorphOS and AROS T-shirts to be available and blessed by Dev Teams. Then and only then I'm getting it. Besides I don't use AROS, I got no network here yet.

As I updated and reread my resume lately, I concluded there are some places, on the web possibly too, I cannot be part of at the same time with the rude people.

Done and agreed. Also AmigaKit have confirmed they will also supply official "Amiga" resellers with official branded merchandise (under license from Hyperion & A-EON)

Hi,
but one problem remains, afaik, you don't own the rights to "Amiga", just "AmigaOne", right?
And to be honest I'd prefer "Amiga"-Shirts, Mice (won't be ), etc...
Personal taste.

Telling someone to shut up in their own thread seems excessive and rude. You made your counter point about where you think money should go instead, no need to finish off what you have to say like that.
@DiskDoctor
Retaliating with name calling only escalates unnecessary garbage talk. Don't do it, it only will help ruin your thread by providing an opening for trolls. Hit the report button instead.

Pens would be good, too. They can be left behind in public places or given away freely. Good, cheap form of advertising. |

Actually, A-EON dosent own the rights to any of the "Amiga" names or trademarks. These are still owned by Amiga Inc although under the settlement agreement Hyperion Entertainment have rights to sublicence to other parties. eg AmigaOne, AmigaOS, Boing Ball etc, etc This does not include the word "Amiga" by itself though.
Obviously A-EON does own all rights to the A1-X1000 brand.

I think it would be cool if somebody could make a t-shirt with the names of the three amiga flavors on it.

Thanks for your concern indeed. Please come back and report all XAmiga branded T-Shirts when they come up.
@thread
BTW I emailed ACube on that matter, they replied weren't thinking on it. That's sortta foolish - if I was them, I'd include >> 1 Sam T-Shirts in the package. They cannot count on TV ads, can they? So why letting go the BTL which is simply PERFECT in this case...
One more concern - community-based OSes like AROS or MorphOS show no at all concern in T-shirts. I wonder why. I think the dev communities feel kindda ashamed to be proposing anything "officially branded" as they think they pose no company-like brand. Alas they are a brand to many, also for some people (like myself) branded goods would be simply a boost just to donate. So I hope the dev teams will start making branded goods and treat this as donation items, just like AmiKit author did some time ago (alas no more AmiKit CDs to date).
BESIDES
Anyone can (and people do) make out oneself a T-shirt.
BUT
Many people would and do prefer buying one if available. And in most cases, one can find one in the web. A pity no money comes to the right people then.
