Video of the first part of the talk from Amiga engineer Carl Sassenrath has been posted. This was from the Amiwest Show 2010. Go to

@RobertB

Any chance of putting it up on YouTube, as Blip.tv is excruciatingly slow (still haven't managed to get it to start the vid...)

Cheers,

Mike.

@mingle

Doesn't YouTube break it up into 10 minute segments? This video is 48 minutes long and is only part 1!

@RobertB

Great to hear Carl and little asides like the origins of the RAM disk. Only thing better would be to be there in person. Thanks very much for posting it!

The maximum length of a video on YouTube is 15 minutes (unless you are a commercial customer who can pay loads of money to them).

If Blip.tv is slow for you, you can download the video and then run it.

Slow? What do you mean by slow? In my opinion it is the same as YouTube but the files can be greater in size.

@mingle

Found streaming slow too on the previous videos. Recommend using ClipDown to save instead.

@clebin

I can't understand the part where he's referring to someone who took his idea of the RAM disk and eventually won an Academy Award for something else?! Am I on acid or something?

@RobertB
Very nice video (albiet a bit big at 350MB!), but I am really hoping to see the second part, where he presumably talks about Rebol

Nice videos, again thanks for all these.

I never knew viscorp developed an Amiga as far as they did, and that tv card and speaker on remote sounded very interesting.
