In general, stop factor are this one as well : you will need update3 minimum. Because it have some fixes in MUI which our current update2 not have. So all in all , all the "timelines" going to be "right after update3".

@kas1e

What exactly is broken in MUI that will be fixed in update3?

Cheers

I have a suggestion:

You did centered the text for the quickstart-link-buttons but not for the tabs. Maybe its better to have a left centered style for the quickstart-link-buttons too? It required less space and that doesn´t look ugly

Aniway latest grab is surely "no good" and a lot of things can be improve even using our plain MUI 3.9, for example i consider the Mason buttons too ugly for a modern browser

(in general i love his style but not in this case, i don't like such buttons)

Some "separator" between the various content would be nice too and so so on ...

For separators there is a prefs already.

About mason buttons - well, we should use something by default which not bad, but later anyone of course can create any set of images/themes for whole stuff.

Kas, the main/default theme should look good, asking to people "go and build your own graphics" it's a major no go IMHO.

Sure. Mason one not good enough ?

Anyway, anyone can draw his own images-set and send it for us. If it will better than mason ones, then why not.

Well, if this new OWB-MUI is toolbar-compatibile with MorphOS version, you can always use one of the OWB Picpack toolbars.

For example ? We use default aos4 theme of mui3.9, which have all the users by default. All what we can do there, its only draw own images, transfer anims and such. Looks of buttons, looks of gadget and labels - its mui3.9 default theme, not OWB default theme.

Didn't check the picpack, I hope there is stuff that doesn't look too AOS4 alien (as a default them it should be good looking but not completely out of whack).

I don't know to which Mason designs you are refering to, the pics you show at the moment look primitive so I must guess you are referring to something else (something Mason "Will" do for us?)

The latest pic in that thread (that one ) its with mason images already.

But as i say, we can only change here : navigation buttons (back/forward/home/stop/reload), images for urls string (add url, bookmark, addtobookmark) and transfer animation. All the other "primitive" look, its default theme of mui for aos4. I.e. all those gadget images, buttons images, backgrounds, "grey color everythere" - that all aos4 default mui theme.

Only what we else can change, its add image for "close button", but its only if we will create some more wrapper code, which will give us a possibility to use more-color images. By default mui limited in many parts to 4colors.

Well as i told you yesterday we can use a theme for this, the one from imagodespira is really good and modern IMHO so we may ask Hyperion to add this or almost to try to follow this style or one similar in future updates, this theme is good because it add extra space for the various contents (buttons for example) and also it follow a similar style for both MUI and Reaction apps

http://img41.imageshack.us/i/testmd.png/

The other things are only PNG buttons and so on.

Of course this is an example and many theme/style can be created

I Agree with Samo79, ImagoDespira theme is superb as it's both "modern looking" and "AmigaOS looking" at the same time (should be OS4.2 default IMHO).
