@retro

I actually thought you were joking before.

Apart from any of the other points already made above, did you not notice this thread is in the Alt Amiga OS section?

the AROS port of OWB is quite ok, too.

ive heard it is slower. also it doesnt seem to be actively maintained, at least at that level of professionality. i wonder if someone would be able to compile it for aros68k, i have not been able to collect the complete source way back as i was going to try.

some times i do live under an rock.
i didnt think that owb for morphos would have any relation to os 4.x version.
i call timberwolf the final solution becuse its the most coverd full scale browser that will bring amiga standart up agen.
i dont understand it ether the morphos os like 1.? and os 4.x is 3.X but morphos version is still an better solution then the os 4.x ver, is.

I don't see what the version has to do with the quality and features, here. Even OWB MorphOS 1.0 already had a download manager, contextmenus, bookmarks, fastlinks, preferences and so on, for instance, which OWB OS4 didn't have before 2.x/3.x or never had at all.

Come on, give the guy a break. He screwed up, not everyone follows this soap opera on a daily basis.

Let those who use morphos enjoy the new version & I look forward to using the os4 version some day.

@fab

better to have a conditions of use on your os4 port. that user agres that morphos is an amiga+ system that was created by tier 1 aos developers before os4 existed! Otherwise they just keep on flaming mos and think you did the port to latch on the amiga name!

Congratulations to MorphOS for getting even better browser experience.

@retro

Don't you think you should get back in the fold, and stop pestering this news item for a system you don't even have any interest in. What do you think these guys think of you man.

Get the hell out of their thread, and post something in the Timberwolf thread which is OS4 related.

When the new Amigas comes out you can use Firefox4.0

No, no, no - it will feature a nice MUI-3.8-esque skin and will be called "MindWalker 2.0".

@retro

All of your posts in this particular thread are very off topic. This has been posted in the Alt-OS section, and so it is fair to say that they are allowed to post and talk about the MOS/AROS ports of or versions of their software here without any trolling/de-railing of their thread from AOS users.

As it stood, the MOS version of OWB was more feature rich than the OS4 version, and it is ka1se that is bringing the MOS OWB to OS4 (with assistance from Fab who created the MOS one).

This would be clear if other threads or searches had been made before you posted.

So just to be clear, we do not want to see trolling or de-railing of threads on this site no matter who is doing it. Please remain on topic when posting, and respect that some people may not have made the same choices as you, or favour the things you do.

@_Steve_

first off all i would like to say.
i am not aming at hurting anyone.
way get upset and jump out off your chair evry time you here the word "final solution"
did i an any way, draw any parrel to any historical event or even WW2.
iff hitler used the therm dont driver over 100 shuld this then be an order to from your political corretsnes to drive 200 miles an hour,or are wee talking about the essens of some pepoles hysterical cultural marxiset viewpoints here.in evry contest there are thease pepole who are fighting for there lost course. news falsh the sovjet union is dead and it was a failuere !!!
you can comment on it but i wont replay it wasent ment that way at all. iff you desiced to flame its your own time you are ussing/loosing.

i mean wee have ibrowse,netsurf,owb and tb
i would like an complete uptodate browser ( can i use the "word" solution?) i belive hitler spoked german but it might have coursed the English langue as well.

dont take this literally?
as i see it
owb is like 80 % done
ibrowse is 60 %
netsurf is x ?
insted off all thease efforts that dosent make the 100 % done
i wee consolidated the power we could have had an uptodate browser SOLUTION loong time ago. i belive iff this platform shall go any way at all.
its a deman that there is an decent browser solution.
i use owb becuse its fast and the browser that gets Nearest to the goal,
its just mee beeing depressed over wee start over and over from scrath in this communaty.

i see os 4.x as the next gen amiga,
not linux with an amiga like gui or mophos or unix with an emolator

corret me if i am worng here
owb came to os 4.x then got portet or coded for morphos and then the work stopped for os 4.x and the morphos version got more advanced now nothing happens in os 4.x land and now the morphos pepole have a good time
what about all the games that is out for mophos with not run on os 4.x shall we demand that the coderes make them for our platform aswell.
but evey time a bounty or somebody do someting then wee got mos fanboys dislike it or flame it if its not made for morphos.we dont see os 4.x usseres pretent to be mos ussers and showing up at mos homepage's with the message wee will not suport until its made for os 4.x too....

@samo79

i edit it..
i see os 4.x as the next gen amiga,
not linux with an amiga like gui or mophos or unix with an emolator

i dont see this as an amiga news but an mos news.
but iff it will gain amiga 650x0 or os 4.x platform anygood then i see it as relevant.
