Are you saying this is old / out-moded technology? If so, I'd like to see the latest in action.

I wouldn't call it outdated but it keeps getting better and faster:

It is good to see new Amiga hardware its just a shame it is way way out of my price range and properly many others who would of liked a more modern Amiga system.

They and you should of done what I did ages ago and open up a savings account and put some money aside each month instead of moaning about the expense of new REAL Amiga hardware...

Another few months or so and I'll have enough in my account, I think it will be worth the effort and my patience.

Hey, if the price is lower, it can't be called a "true" Amiga.

I'm suprised, according to this thread you ordered a Nemo board as Beta tester.

Well my A500 and my A2000 where cheaper than common x86 PCs, but maybe that's the difference for adding a "One" to the original Amiga brand.

@Arko

If you must know I had to opt out, for reasons that are really none of your concern.

Assume that you bought A2000 later when it was lowest specs "pro Amiga".

Well, indeed A500, A600 etc. were computers "for the masses", but difference is not in name, but in shrink size of the market - mainly low production volumes. PPC boards could go cheaper if demand and production was higher.

In fact, no one can beat todays mass volume x86 hardware prices but its good since all the rest of components beside the expensive PPC boards we get at the same prices - so transition isn`t that bad in terms of expandability and fastest Amigas ever.

Whoever wishes to compare Classic Amiga prices and today should remember how costy was each megabyte of RAM, CPU expansion, HDD ... most of users never made it to the colour monitor, 060 or PPC and GFX card even in rich countries.

Now its all standard, and most important OS is developed forward.

Wrong, it was during a time when it was the top Amiga and I bought it new. I had to decide if I want to have a A500 with clumsy expensions on my desk or if I would invest money into a real desktop computer with excellent bus system.

The OS is substandard compared with other desktop system, that was quite different to the time when I bought my A2000.
