Hi all,

I did a Dr Who tribute demo using some demo maker the day the John Pertwee died, but for the life of me cannot get it to run under any emulation.

If I recall correctly it used the pp crunching library which maybe messing it up.
If anyone is able to run it (it's HD installable) and take a video of it, I'd be really grateful.

Disc 1
Disc 2

The DMS's are available from here.......

Cheers,
Trebz

@TrebleSix

I've downloaded them and will give them a try right now on my various Amiga set ups...

If I get it working I'll post a video on YouTube for you...

PS: Jon Pertwee was the greatest Doctor ever closely followed By Tom Baker...

@TrebleSix

Great. Dr Who and bow ties are cool.

Here's a pic of the TARDIS I made for my kids:

Hope you get that program up and running. I'd like to see it.

@TrebleSix

Yeah, they think it is great. :)

It is the second one I've build. The first one was beaten up by hurricane Rita:

and then eaten by termites:
TARDIS termite

This one was built to last:

I've never moved it, but I've had a few local fans come to see it (and have their pictures taken with it). I'm building a new house at the moment so it will get to take a trip on the back of a truck before the end of the year.

The damn thing weighs a ton!

@TrebleSix

LOL. Funny you should say that because the new one is designed to match the new Matt Smith TARDIS... or should at be Peter Cushing?

Yep, I usually make an annual pilgrimage to Torchwood Tower every year (when I nip over to watch some footie matches and enjoy the British pubs):

@TrebleSix

Unfortunately the "RunMe!" script has the following line...

Copy DRWho1:DrWho.2 ""

Which throws up an error because there is no file on the disk "DrWho1:" called "DrWho.2"

I've checked and it just aint there...

Nah, you made him mention Jon Pertwee, which in turn makes him think of Jo Grant which means he's going to be in the toilet with some hand lotion and a box of kleenex for the next 30 minutes.

@Franko

No sign of the missing file on the other disk?

The startup script wasn't bugged was it? Was it intending to trying and copy the contents of Disk 1 somewhere (such as RAM) so that it could run with only disk 2 in a floppy on a 1 drive system (rather than actually trying to execute a file)?

It must have worked originally.
Have you tried booting off the disc rather than installing it ?
