Why is it that your standards for volunteer news reporters vastly exceed your expectations regarding the behavior of and common courtesy among business partners? |
Maybe because I hold volunteer news reporters in higher regard than Amiga companies?
I will put it frankly: signing ten-years contract was not wise, it was not even sane.

Criticizing that said volunteers may not uphold the same high standards that even career journalists often fail to meet and demanding they spend even more of their free time before they dare publish an article is, frankly, rather entitled. |

I assume they did it to get the money because without that the partner would not have signed the contract. But then you must keep it... |

In a normal business setting, probably not, but we wouldn't be discussing Amiga (NG) today if sanity was the only driver here.
I suspect goodwill was a major part of this decision to fund, but then you don't expect to be backstabbed by the beneficiary of this sign of goodwill.

Goodwill is certainly more polite explanation than lack of sound mind. |

The Amiga community is the loser in my opinion.
I hope but doubt the opportunity was taken to discuss moving the platform in a new direction in any shape or form.

Amongst those who perceive themselves as allies, I should think such discussion is always a part of a get together.
However, if you refer to all the prominent parties mentioned in the .pdf, participating in such a discussion, it is obvious from what has transpired since that this is absolutely not the case.

It seems to me that in this type of business parties perceived themselves to be allied until they stop to be.

Thank you!
First time I hear about Mr. Mincea, quite telling about me losing interest in the Amiga scene daily news. :-\ |

Respect for listening to the complete three hours!
Please do not take offense if I ask for approximate time mark of the conversation in video?

Why would I be offended for reporting a fact? heh.
If you want to listen to Trevor speak, he starts about 7 minutes in. If you just want the bit about the controversial audio clip and Trevor's reaction to it... 1:08 (one hour and 8 minutes) should get you close.

Thank you. It seems Trevor has moved beyond this old conversation. So this is good. |

After numerous updates to the text at the main site, I see today it has been entirely reworked. More details of older history seem to appear in the dot-com years section. Also it appears that all the documents were broken out as well into a separate document section.

Amiga-news.de is in fact the best news source as they at least make an effort to source and prepare articles rather than just publish de-facto advertisements and statements submitted by third parties. Moreover, it is entirely free of cost and run by volunteers, not paid journalists. |
somewhat overlooked story

Completely missed 3.02, but it's up to 3.03 now.
I figured out how to tell what's new, which should have been obvious.
Go to document list and find a document you have already read. Then simply increase the number by 1 and search for that number in page. You can also use the # in the main text section to see any related comments to said document.
The emails between Ben and Bill are simply priceless.
