A while back I started saving money for a new Amiga X1000.

http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/x1000/?webpage=buy

Welcome to Q1 2013!!!

I am ready to just give up and spend the money on something else. They are never going to release that thing.

@DFergATL

They sold them all to people who registered.

And there never going to make anymore?? That seems like a waste of product development time and money.

According to rumours (and some slides in Trevor´s presentation on latest AmiWest) A-eon prepares successor to X1000. Assuming latest X1000s were sold at the end of last year, new hardware could be introduced relatively soon, but as usual when it is done.

As far as I can tell this was a hobby project that Trevor likely lost money on. If money had been the prime motivator it never would have been done in the first place.

@fairlanefastback

Watch from 23:20 http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L2kkXLOeFLg

Last batch all sold out.
Can get more PA6T CPUs but they cost $975 each. Trevor subsidised the CPUs in last batch from his own pocket!

@DFergATL

This was posted by Trevor on his Amiga Blog AFTER Amiwest 2012 .

Finding Nemo

AmigaONE X1000
I received a lot of questions from attendees at AmiWest about the future availability of the AmigaONE X1000. The (third) production run is currently underway and AmigaKit receive boards from small batches from Varisys on a regular basis. Matthew confirmed that he will be contacting all customers who have lodged their interest in the X1000 as each new batch is received. Additional production runs will be scheduled should demand continue to exceed the supply.

@DFergATL
If you don't register and get on the list you may never get one. I registered last June and received my X1000 for Christmas. If you register, you can always request that you be moved down the list if they notify you before you are ready to pay. I'm not totally sure they are all sold yet anyway. I just received a notification that I could buy my X1000 because they forgot to cross me off the list after I paid for mine back in November. I notified them that I already had mine so that they could notify somebody else on the list.

Let me tell you a secret, if you were to ask around you could probably buy a used X1000 in a month or two, from someone who bought one and then decided it wasn't for them.

You should have registered a "while back" - I assume you're to late now.

I don't know who that would be. I sure am not selling mine! Well, not unless it is to someone like you who lives close to me. I don't want to ship. And not until I have a newer Amiga model.

I have my AmigaOne XE G4 sitting right here next to my X1000. Still looking around for a KVM switch. Thinking back, I've never sold any of my Amigas, but I'll need to clean house one day.

I registered last May (15th) and the last email I had was June 10th about possibly, maybe being contacted soon to place a deposit. Never heard anything more and assumed I was just unlucky but now I'm just sad they've probably all gone.

@Drule

I am sure that when they are all gone there will be an official press release to that effect from A-Eon. So until then I would think that they are still available.

Boy i think you'd be better off waiting to buy a Commodore 65

Heck I still regret selling my old Blizzard030 card all those years ago so not a chance in hell I'd give up my Amiga 1000 never mind my AmigaOne X1000

@ electric-magic

Welcome aboard

I think X1000 is gone/sold. No more new boards on market. Am I right?
