Don't forgot, people do have lives outside of 'Amigas' just because someone owns a rare A4000T with rares parts and doesn't use it, don't assume its because they don't want too, maybe they just don't have time. Also you seem to have completely ignored part of the text you quoted, there are sellers who PURPOSELY buy cheap amiga units and rare hardware/software and resell them at higher prices, they are hoarding parts for financial gain.

Those who do generally hoard don't normally plan too, but it takes effort and knowledge to sell items they don't need, again its easier to buy than it is to sell.

You say those wanting to come back to classics, well maybe they shouldn't of left If you wish to be critical.

Finally, hoarding is a now recognized medical condition, a subset of obsessive compulsive disorder, so please refrain from calling them lame....

You can also ask those who have chosen "germany only" - send them a message and ask for permission. You can't bid on an item than is "germany only" if you don't have a shipping address in Germany - and that's why you should temp. change you shipping address, if you get permission by the seller.

What's the real difference between this Commodore 4000T and the later Amiga Technologies 4000T's beside some of the front plastic parts?

Front door is different (more stylish on the CBM version) AND less than 200 was produced by Commodore before they went bankrupt. Most of them was produced in april and may 1994 - and Commodore (iirc) died in june 1994. Commodore version has 1.76mb floppy - AT version has not.

Some CBM versions ended up as Video Toaster Towers at NewTek - where the rest is today is unknown - myself and Mattias Münch has only tracked down 11 owners of Commodore versions (a few more probably exists) - so the Commodore version is ULTRA rare.

He is making FPGA card for Amiga 600 and the only reason he is
creating it for A600 is that he can't get Amiga 1200 because
Ebay is not really an option in Serbia and Republika Srpska
and prices and availability of Amiga's here are terrible.

I had 3 Amiga 1200's going through my hands and I sold one
that looked brand new for about 70 Eur and donated one.I kept
1 for myself and made it exactly the same as the one i owned
in the good old days

I would send him that one but the problem is it is all hack'n'slash
inside as I had to do a lot of soldering to make it work again.
Moving it could cause it to stop posting.My logic is to keep it
since I know how to punch it just right when it stops working

I would like to talk about Mediator from Elbox and the possibility of writing a driver for Sonnet G3/G4 accelerators that are prepared for the Mac. Because it seems to me that they are almost the same with Elbox's SharkPPC accelerators. So the problem could only be with drivers. Can you explane to me basic strategy of adding PPC libraries to OS 4.1 Classic because if there is support for SharkPPC what about support for Sonnet accelerators.

I'm afraid I can not help you much because my contract prohibits the "disclosure" of information acquired through the mailing list I have mentioned. Moreover, even we do not know everything. If you need reliable information, I think it's best to write Hyperion (more precisely, Ben Hermans) and ask him what you want to know, he was the only one who can/should give you correct informations. Note that he is usually quite busy and it may take until he repliy.

I don't sell my Amiga's and I don't buy them.Used to do some
work fixing computer motherboards so once in a while I
would get one for free.

I sold one 1200 and one 500 because I didn't know anyone
who would use them.

The rest of maybe 20 (mostly A500 and A600) I gave away.

People that got them mostly use them to play SWOS

Besides Majsta wold benefit more from A1200 or A1200T.

Biggest difference between Commodore And Escom
Amigas is quality of the components used.

Amigas from Commodore used very high quality
components and could last you 50 years easily.

Escom Amigas used cheaper components of poorer
quality and will never live as long.Leaking caps are
only one of the more obvious problems with them.

Its seems your theory about Ebay purchases for Serbia is dated. Ebay is available for Serbians and so is Paypal as from April 2013. I would have no issues then to send a A1200 to serbia, the parcel site I normally use will courier to serbia, only issue seems to be theft of postage, but surely something could be arranged

Paypal started working here only couple of months ago and
even still customs officers will routinely charge provisionary
custom rates on electronics components or hold them
hostage at the customs office.

Igor is not in Serbia but in Republika Srpska (different country).

If I get the time to tidy up the mobo on this one to make it a
little more fail-proof and I get myself a replacement I will send
it to him.

I didn't ask anyone to send Amiga to Igor I simply wanted to
put this info here for people to read about it.If Igor can make
A600 boot with FPGA 68k softcore (which I sincerely doubted
when I first read about this project) making Sonet G4/ 1 Ghz PCI
cards working with Mediator should be an easy task for him.

I have no interest in AOS4 whatsoever but many people here
were very keen about G4 Blizzard PPC replacement.Well this
guy could make one for you.You would need to convince your
leaders (aka Hyperion aka Ben Herman) to give blessing and
technical info but it would be less complicated work then Igor
has done so far with Vampyre600.
