Just tried the Sam460 version without luck, here it is the kernel log http://www.locati.it/mario/sam460/test/Sam460_3.17RC4.txt
The crash is at 12.971164
I don't see the folder "firmware" inside "lib", is that correct? Maybe some updated firmware for the Radeon driver? Just guessing...
By the way, I have also tried your kernel 3.16 and it does works just fine, thanks! (only tried now as I was far away from my Sam) Last edited by virgolamobile on 09-Sep-2014 at 08:27 PM.

Thanks for testing .
I dont include the Radeon firmware with the kernels. It is present in the installer ramdisk (I just double checked) and the installation process deals with it seamlessly.
Here is the radeon firmware as used in the installer. You could try updating.Do think that this is the problem but it would eliminate firmware issues.

I have a PCI-E Radeon HD 4650. I'll be able to try the new kernel over the next week end.
Meanwhile, thank you! |

Is the "alone" kernel 3.16.2 different from the one insede the lubunt 14.10 netinstall iso?
