make it so:

G5--->x86--->Winuae and then run Quake in 640x480 or 800x600 and then make a timedemo demo2

@Seiya

Do you are asking the performance of a time demo of Quake in 640x480 and most more 800x600 in winuae emulated under virtualPC :)
Pratically the G5 have to interpeter the X86 an the X86 have to interpeter the 68k.
How will be the performance of Qemu not virtualized with the same benchmark on a new pc ? ;)

In any way In virtual pc i have on Quake X86 640x480=61 fps and In 320x200 98 fps...
will try this strange benchmark

PS: can we have some of your experience screens and video too ? please not something simple ;)

@tlosm

you didn't understand.
i ask that because i'd like to know if you play with your emulated systems?
Do you like to emulate various environment like ppc to x86 to 68k to x86 to ppc ecc ecc, but, do you play with it?

I ask to make benchmark to quake to see if you are able to play with Quake 68k after various emulation.

i don't emulate systems into other systems, but if i want to play to amiga games i use WinUAE.
If i want to play to Megadrive i use Megadrive emulator and play with it.

Of course i like to benchmark emulated systems, but only to see if the emulated environment is enough good to play with modern games.

however my only try to emulate multiple environment was to emulate Mac 68k in DOSBox x86.

@Seiya

Why i have to play Quake 68k under a winuae emulated under virtual PC?
I can Play Quake 68k on Euae PPC for sure there i will have better performances :)
and for sure will be much more stable compared a doubled emulated system.
PS: Quake 68k dont run in winuae Jit 2.50 i have to disable jit for made it run and is too slow for play there ... i will prefer play Quake 68k under Shapeshaver or Basilisk II much much more faster :P

I forget to mention if i need to play megadrive i dont use Virtual PC or Euae for play with megadrive i use the Sega Megadrive emulator for X ppc :)

I have to say you a real thing on X PPC there are all emulators evailable on the windows scene ... the last 2 generations are missing but some one is working on it or i switch on Debian 7.5 wheezy and play ;)

PPS: im waiting something extreme from you :)

Quake2 68k under amithlon on c2d@320*256=318fps.
@640*480=157fps, @1024*768=102fps.

This is bottlenecked by the matrox g550 unfortunately.

Duke3d @256*224=1280fps, @320*256=960fps, @640*512=320fps, @1600*1200=55fps (n.b. beyond 320fps framerates are calculated to closest factor of 160).

Can someone suggest a 68k mac benchmark program or 2 please?). I have a sneaking suspicion that amithlon+shapeshifter is the fastest possible "68k mac" possible by quite a margin.

How about Symantec System Info? The same one used in this video of the fpgaArcade with 68060 board:

@fishy_fis

the fastest will be basilisk ii because it ihave the jit on x86, run it under windows.
using shapeshifter on amithlonit disable the cpu cache of the jit and you will have less performance in amithlon too.
about mac 68k use speedometer this is a good benchmark try to find it on "machintosh garden" website.
quake 68k on classic "apple 68k emulation box" 320x240 570 fps" up i cant benchmark it is fast but time demo result goes in minus ;)

if Microsoft was made a d3d emulation and better optimized G5 quad (no cd/dvd , and 2100 mhz showed G5 cpu) virtual pc :( :( :( :(

@tlosm

Nah, amithlon running shapeshifter is somewhat faster than bassilisk2 on windows seeing as shapeshifter sits directly on the 68k amiga without emulation (more like a vm). In effect this means it sits directly on top of amithlons 68k jit core+gives direct access to pci cards and ram.
I was surprised my how much faster fpu emulation is under amithlon (%150-200), although integer performance sees a more modest gain).

Also care to do a framerate test for 68k duke3d? To do so just type "dnrate" anywhere in the game and a counter will appear in top left corner.

I don't like emulation, I prefer banging the metal of the old classic machines!
