I received a black Evo X500 with a French-Canadian layout , so beautiful!!!
The packaging well protects the amazing case! It is super professional and easily customisable... Next step, to fit an A1200 motherboard in it More on my Web site...
Cheers and merry X-mas!!!

Looks like there'll be some work involved in getting an A1200 in there. |

Indeed There will be definitely soldering involved, but that does not worry me too much... there will be also some metal work to build cover to close the case and fit the connectors: that's what's scare me most! But I am wondering if could access a FabLab to build these plates...

| @TheDaddy and all!
Hope that you are doing well! Sorry to bump but AmigaKit kindly built a PCMCIA adapter for me so I was able to fit it all for the first time! And, yes!, it fits!
Check the photos below:
(More (and links to bigger) photos here!)
Of course, I have now to build adapters to plug the leds, the various connectors propertly... Cheers! _________________ Tygre Scientific Progress Goes Boing! |

Lots of motherboards, like mini-itx/flex atx and, of course, A1200 motherboard revisions 1D4 or 2B... But everything is possible with a saw and a soldering iron...

haha yes thats my whole point since I think this case is so big, bigger then anything I have seen even bigger then the commodore A500 cases. So thats why I ask if this is for a normal A500 motherboard or is this made for something else. ? |

Hello,
It was designed for mini-itx (170mmx170mm) or flex-atx (229mmx191mm) so Micro Amiga, SAM440, SAM460, any x86 mini-itx board.

What an incredible job you've done! I never thought an A1200 motherboard would fit. Well done! What is your plan for the left side?

Thanks and thanks to you for the beautiful case!
By left side, you mean the "hole" where the DVD Driver/SD Reader/... was located? I plan to cut a nice little piece of black laminated plastic to fit exactly and either glue or screw it, nothing really fancy there!
Unless you would have a nice idea for that side? (I thought at one point to put a IDE CD/DVD drive but not sure that it would fit...)

>> I plan to cut a nice little piece of black laminated plastic to fit exactly and either glue or screw it,.
That sounds like a good plan, looking at the way you well sorted the rear of the case to make the A1200 fit it shouldn't be a problem for you.
As soon as I've finished with the the Amiga keys project I'll show you the final, the ultimate, X500 Pro I've been working on...
LEDs on the right to start with...

you swapped the URL and the name of the website there. _________________ This weeks pet peeve: Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C).
