RadeonHD audio and USB audio would be good options .

I'd particularly like to see audio over HDMI supported.
USB...not the greatest solution, but cheap and easy.

And thanks for mentioning Tremor, since that's more available than the Envy24HT, its worth consideration.

Is there a complete list somewhere of things we already have drivers for, from being integrated on various boards or from PCI or PCIe, USB etc. cards?

Thanks everyone.

I was wondering if this sound card might work.

It says Via Tremor on the chip, which seems to mean model 1723. Some places say "Envy24 Tremor 1723" as one long name, some places only call it Tremor 1723, and I'm confused if it is a chip we can use or not.

@billt

PCI versions with the VT-1723 may not work.
I have a SIIG model were every thing appears ok but no sound .
The card is good as it works under Linux on a X5000 .
The problem may be due different pin out from the codec thank the pcie-x1 versions according to A-Cube but they could not check with out having one (Card issue reported in 2013 after testing with a Sam440ep-flex).

@Spectre660

This driver supports PCIe soundcards that comply with the Intel HD Audio (Azalia) specification.
