@Raziel

Agree on the update alerts, but I would rather these came via AmiUpdate by adding an AMIStore server, e.g. update.amistore.net (or at least there was the option to do this). AmiUpdate would alert and also have the usual auto install feature, etc.

@zzd10h

Ok, will the individual tools on OS4Depot no longer be updated at all or be kept a few versions behind the AMIStore package in future?

@gtmooya
I removed my individual tools from os4depot as I didn't want to maintain different versions.

Some good suggestions and feedback. I will be working through this weekend to make some of the changes suggested.

Thank you for your patience.

Dunno why AmigaOS needs both a Hyperion updater and an A-Eon updater.

Combine them into one program.

@Xmas87

Because they're totally different things? AmiUpdate delivers free updates of system components and 3rd party software. AmiStore is an online shopping program.

On the android world they're 2 apps, software update and play store and probably involve google services as well. You just don't see software update or google services as they run entirely in the background.

@Xmas87

Seriously doubt that will happen.

I know its ludacris comparing with mainstream OS's, but I cant see Windows Updater being combined with Steam for example
Once Matthew has emptied xx mugs of coffee, sorted out AmigaStore bugs and features, im sure AmiUpdate and AmigaStore will run nicely in parallel.

Is a MorphOS version in the works? I am sure developers would like to sell their software on as many platforms as possible.

You can use this for MorphOS

indiego app store? What a dog that program is. I tried it a few times, slow, unintuitive a crashy. Nice concept badly implemented.

I think it was Itix that pointed out that the 68k version should run under MorphOS.

Huh : ) ? It doesn't crash for me. Unintuitive? Don't think so : )
Slow... nah you should just enable window decor and size it down (as amistore in size) than it work good on SAM's as well. (It is configurable via global.config file)
Next version will have decor enabled, so you can move the windows around and it will be smaller.

Also it consists of 2 programms. The App Store browser and the download-manager.

@zzd10h

I have tracked down the bug and resolved it. A new version of AMIStore will be available tomorrow with the fix in it and a few others.

Pseudaxos is right, I reproduced his problem.

When using "Categories / Utilities (4)" to filter by category, the comments editor seems stuck when you select another tab

Notice the "ANotice 2" title in "zTools" comments

@djrikki

Yes, no difference I've noticed as yet, waiting for the new version of MPlayer. Not expecting to playback 1080p smoothly on the A1-500, but hoping 720p will be usable, fingers crossed.

@djrikki

My understanding was that the new DMA speedup in Workbench will be available with the new graphics.library which will come in FE

And video speedup will be available with the upcoming DVPlayer and MPlayer (which in turn also wait for FE to use some graphics.library functions)

So, no speedup yet

Yes, thank you, it works now ;)

Another question :
Is it possible to change his rating for a software after to have rated it before ?

@amigakit

It's probably worth looking into updates for third party software through AmiUpdate. For example it is used by Simon Archer for distributing Codebench updates as you probably know AmiUpdate can handle multiple update servers. Sure exploration will be required in terms of implementation.
