Someone seems intent on porting to AROS :)

Yarnevk,

That is why I was looking into it getting support implemented. This would leave them largely free to exert their energy on Android and other platforms while my assstance in making AROS/IcarosDesktop support is so castAR support would occur in the next 1-2 (give or take) years not next 10-20 years. Certain information may require an NDA and it is simply to indicate willingness to go to those measures as needed.

I agree with your point but getting their email is up in the air at this time... what's the email address? Okay. PM may work.

BTW: I don't expect the CEO to read the forum daily.

@serk118

Someone (probarly the guy I quoted from castARs page) also raised the topic in an AROS thread;

That's pretty cool. That brings up something I was thinking about earlier today, what is AROS's philosophy when it comes to binary blobs? I imagine that's how the various libraries that implement stuff under NDA will have to be released, without source code.

Ok, so I revived a old topic.

Would be intresting to know if CASTAR will be available to any Amiga like OS's. Then again, software is needed to actually utilize it.

Let's hire a bounty then...

@Raffaele

Kickstarter/Bounty only makes sense if there are a developer available and keen to work on such a project. Additionally there have to be software in the pipeline able to utilize it.

I just threw it up here since Jeri/Rick is at AmiWest in addition to AeonKit and Hyperion.

Looking at CastAR's careers page under game dev;

Quote:
Familiarity with Unreal 4 and Unity 5.0 engines

Not within AOS 4.x reach anytime soon, but either way, posted this query more out of curiousity than anything.
That said; Maybe Daniel/Cherry Darling have any thoughts about the usability of castAR for Amiga products (with or without Unity).

I realise Jeri probarly showed up for 1) shes a huge geek (a compliment) that enjoys hanging with likeminded 2) Needs exposiure to her product (even as little an AmigaWest will generate).

Ya, I saw her video yesterday. It seems to have been a rough ride for her the last few years.

Still, will be intresting to see her coming updates.
