@amigakit

Perhaps........ Change TBA to WIP.

It is nice to know the projects that are under way.

Why are people so bent out of shape over knowing about software before it's released?

AmigaKit: For the sake of your own health and sanity - drop the entire AmiStore thing, it is a bad idea and not at all needed. Unless you fancy maintaining this beast for the rest of your life. The cost of keeping the store alive by far outweigh the profit made - so what is the point?!

@amigakit

And you know what - you do a genuinely amazing job.

I think the great success of AmiStore - and it has been a success without doubt - means it is inevitable you get some negative feedback for what are very minor things.

To do what you do and have done in what is essentially your spare time is a truly brilliant thing Matthew. I believe that there is another thread on here started earlier from others echoing those views. :)

I believe the point is to help continue to rebuild the Amiga and I applaud the work of AmigaKit most wholeheartedly.

You are either a quitter or you work hard and fight your cause - building the business you believe in. I think we can safely say that AmigaKit is not a quitter.

@lylehaze

Well, I would not expect that kind of reaction. Fortunately, everyone answered for me

And everyone have expressed some really interesting suggestions (why not use WIP term instead of TBA?). This was the puprose of this thread. I'm really wondering why you've reacted like this (where did you see me insulting anyone? I've never done this on any forum whether it is on english ones or French ones).

BTW : thanks for your Nemosound program, it's been really useful since I've installed it on my X1000.

@ K-L

I actually like to see what's in the works every time I log into AmiStore so no issue at all here whether it's listed as TBA or WIP as you can't buy it yet anyhow

@ Amigkit/ A-Eon

thanks for the AmiStore, it's a great idea and was much needed IMHO. I'm grateful for the work you guys do along with all our developers to keep my favourite OS rocking with new developments in 2015 & beyond

@K-L
I think the currently unavailable apps should be marked in some way. I'm tired of clicking on apps only to find they are not yet available. Right now my AmiStore program has frozen yet again

When I first tried AmiStore I accidently clicked on the Megamix thing and selected purchase because it was listed as free. Now it's listed as purchased but when I click on it in my purchase list I get an Amistore freeze for several minutes and a server error. I just used the purchase and downloads menu and the window opened and the AmiStore is frozen. I'm writing this before I reboot.

I'd like to purchase MultiviewNG but there are 2 previous purchases stuck in my "shopping bag" and I can't seem to do a checkout without also purchasing the 2 items I purchased previously. I need to reboot now and see if I can figure out how to clear the shopping bag.

EDIT: I rebooted and logged into AmiStore again but can't find any way to clear my shopping bag. I also tried logging out of AmiStore and logging back in but I must have typed in a wrong letter (why can't I pase into the AmiStore string gadgets?) and got an error requester and when I closed it the AmiStore window was gone. When I tried to open it again I got a requester telling me I can't open 2 copies of AmiStore. Rebooted and logged into AmiStore again but the previously purchased items are still stuck in my shopping bag.

Does anyone know how to clear out the shopping bag??

@Xenic

Here is a tutorial that I have put together for you explaining how to manage the Shopping Bag and its contents:

Hope this helps!

@K-L

Honestly there are 6 apps on there that say "Price TBA" with the option to lick for notification when available, out of 40+ products.

Mountain out of a molehill is the expression that comes to mind.

@broadblues

Sorry to insist but one or fourty would not change my mind. Even more if TBA softwares are the one so much awaited (Score, DvPlayer and Radiance for instance). Mplayer should simply be thrown away from Amistore.

My point is still valid as others have pointed out too.

"Never give up! Never give in!" ... okay then, to paraphrase Galaxy Quest

I think you should start your own store and do it your way!

@broadblues

Think your on the rights lines on this one, we should be all glad that there is such a online app like Amistore and thanks should go to amigakit

I havent had one Problem with amistore since installing it. And small Things like TBA Don´t bother me.

If it´s not ready, it´s not ready but nice to know it will eventually be available.

Come on Gents give Amgaikit a break.

That isn't Galaxy Quest.

"Never give up, never surrender" is Galaxy Quest.

@K-L

Don't listen to anybody who misquotes Galaxy Quest

@amigakit

Under the graphic, you could add a text box with either available or an E.T.A or WIP.
All available software can then be identified with a quick glance.

This would save having to click on each individual graphic to see if it's available.

Cheers

I suggest a new item category,"WIP", & move non-available items there till ready.

@SACC-dude

I've got a shocking memory, but the Galaxy Quest quote is something that has just stuck in my head.

The quote in the same film about someones hammer and avenging them on the other hand, I can never remember 2 seconds later.
