Many new amusing bits coming from the Commodore combatants:

January 18, 2020

Classic:
Quote:
Following the victory of a long legal dispute , which saw the Italian team obtain the rights to use the famous Chicken Head brand, the company got back on the road to work on the future.

If you read post #217 prior page you'll see they've decided to ignore mentioning that the EUIPO decision was overturned officially at court. C=Holdings B.V. won their case, not this bunch.

Nevertheless, they press on:

https://commodore-cbm.com/

and

https://www.facebook.com/pg/cbm.commodore/posts/

Meanwhile, in another corner of the universe the countdown to trademark registration for at least 3 principal Commodore trademarks stands at 5 days from today.

See following for direct links to trademark filings: https://twitter.com/amigadocuments?lang=en

It will be interesting to see if the new owners have any inclination to defend their IP.

Oh, and others are or have already registered domain names with various pieces of the supposed IP.

Best of luck to all involved in both the Commodore and Amiga wars.

Commodore just announced

"From the makers of the best selling computer of all time (the C64) and the most innovative computer of the 20th century (the Amiga) now a new achievement 25 years in the making - the C= keychain".

In a move in the final hours that surprised absolutely no one on the planet earth....

Commodore wordmark went without opposition (so far)

As Yogi Berra said "it's deja vu all over again"

What this means for those who either claimed or expressed interest in licensing Commodore trademarks for new products...is unknown atm.

I'm sure no one cares about this (evil grin), but filings were also made this week in the United States.

I think now that Jack Tramiel and Irving Gould are dead the C= trademark should be allowed to die too!

There's absolutely no relation between the EUIPO granting the C= trademark to us, and the court case you're refering to. That was a separate action initiated by someone else, who wasn't and isn't in any way connected to Commodore Business Machines Ltd.

@paolone

As it is the holiday season it must be time to update the lovely situation that is the Commodore trademarks.

This applies to the U.S. trademark only:

.pdf response to office action November 9

suspension notice December 2

Have you any sense where this is going now?
btw-euipo entries seem stalled regarding any decision

details on response to the office action
Lots to click on. Exhibit "E" is a historical hoot.
