an update:
http://kipper2k.com/vampire/v3003_x15_SysInfo.jpg
ah, seems bringup page has been updated as well:
http://apollo-core.com/bringup/index2.htm
pity we have no backup for detailed comparison, seems the core gets clocked at a higher speed.

My constructive criticism is they need to take a look at the Vulcan 74 which can probably do more than what they are trying to do:

@Chuckt

so far all i see from vulcan is moving sprites on top of low res background and playing music. its not like i want to put down a project which is cool in its own right, but are you sure that it is more than running the whole library of amiga software and having built in rtg and sound at disposal, even if its not build of simple 74xxx gates?

You do realize that a 6502 chip that the Commodore 64 has is doing something that the Amiga can do at an alarming speed?

If you put a more powerful Amiga chip in there, what do you think the Amiga would be capable of? The Amiga would be a lot faster.

@Chuckt

The Apollo team is building the world fastest 680x0 chip in FPGA... now that is really cool..

but what relevance has the Vulcan 74 project to that?

A little bit in the last video.

To put these benchmarks in some othe perspective I tried Doom benchmark with ADoom 1.3 (68k) in 640x400 under WinUAE/OS4 via built-in Petunia JIT (on Core i5 2500K 3.3 GHz):

2134 gametics in 1966 realtics = 38.0 FPS
