From Acube Systems site:

UBoot 1.3.1f for Sam440ep boards available
Bassano del Grappa, Italy - 17, October 2016

ACube Systems is pleased to announce a new release of the U-Boot firmware for its Sam440ep motherboards (mini-itx and flex versions).

What's new in this version:

- improved gfx cards setup, it solves compatibility problems with some Radeon HD cards
- better internal PCI bridge setup for a slight faster RAM VRAM transfer speed
- added PEX 8112 PCI PCIE bridge setup (used on some Radeon HD PCI variant cards)
- added a new menu entry to enable/disable IRQ on an external PCI gfx card
(try disabling IRQ if the system seems freezed after loading the AOS4.1 kickstart files, for example)
The updated installation guide describes in detail the usual installation method (ISO image) and alternative methods (TFTP).

You can download installation archives from:

http://www.acube-systems.biz/download/u-boot-1.3.1f_20161011_prod.tar.gz

Thank you!
So, is it now possible to use RadeonHD+Warp Nova on my mini-itx 440? How?

I meant: which cards are suitable for a mini-itx 440 without transforming it in a monster that needs to be put in a behemot of a case? (i.e.: i'd like it to retain its mini factor in its current small case)

@Nibunnoichi

there are Rx series fanless and small .. what you need to check good is the right working series with warp3d and warp3d nova.

I downloaded from the link you provided and got the U-Boot sourcecode. There is no installation guide or instructions. Are you sure that's the right link??

O.K. Thanks for the link. I checked the contents of both ISO files but don't see the updated installation guide mentioned in the announcement. Where so I get that?

@Xenic

For some reason Acube hasn't put the instruction on their site, at least not on the front page. The ISO is supposed to be burned on a non bootable CD which you then boot from to upgrade.

Edit: Here it is: http://www.soft3dev.net/firmware/Sam440ep-flex_updater_131f.zip

@Xenic

Does it include a Makefile?

Looks like you need to compile it yourself. Source is the new free.

@duga

How do you boot from a non-bootable CD? Haha.

Or do you mean burn the ISO on CD/DVD/R/W media, reset and it auto boots?
