@A1200

There's something wrong with AmigaWorld.net's IM and my messages to you are not going out.

I'm hoping to just commission you to do a machine for me. I would have just paid you what you asked for that A600 honestly. I think you did well with the ebay sale though.

OR.. if you have a busted up A600 that looks good on the outside. I wouldn't mind having a pi version.

@tommywright

No problem my friend. I am doing an A1200 for a mate for xmas then I am not sure if or when I will do any more. I could get a machine and stuff to your specification and restore it accordingly. As long as costs of machine etc. were covered I could do that.

Also I have some B grade keyboards and cases so i am going to have my 1st retr0brite experience soon too!

@A1200

Every time I see a Blizzard 1230 for sale, I wonder if it was the one I used to have...

I killed an accelerator tonight (Blizzard 1220) :( feel really crappy about it. It had a few damaged CPU pins which I didn't report the eBay seller because I popped it in my bag, it may have been me en route back home from where I had it delivered. Anyway, removed the CPU ready for a new one, but when cleaning up the solder pads and retinning, one came off - I am good at recapping - QFP100 might be a bit much for my skill and equipment. Hate killing retro hardware. Anyway, I have another 1220 so have removed chips off damaged board and will keep as spares in case any RAM/GALs fail on the good one.

AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Still I have restored more than what's been broken it just is such a pain - the Blizzard 1220/4 is the best combination of value, compatibility and performance you can get for the A1200 IMO.

@A1200

Sad for you, but how do you figure those cards are better than a Blizzard 030? That's what every A1200 wanted to own back in the day.

@BigD

Well it has the value element - much cheaper. Blizzard 030 is best bang for the buck perhaps - but stock Amiga A1200 to Blizzard 1220 is a huge step up.

@A1200

I manage to obtain an Amiga 1200.

My last Amigas in the 1990s was Amiga 3000/030/882 at 25Mhz (with KS 2.x ROM, 4MB fast, 2 MB chip), and Amiga 500 Rev 6A (KS 1.3, 1MB chip). My Amiga 3000 was traded for a classic Pentium 150Mhz PC in 1996.

Recovered Amiga 500 Rev 5, KS 1.2, 1MB RAM.
