Anyone know if there are any other usb PCI cards that work with mediator apart from spider from elbox 50quid for usb card is a bit steep.

As far as I am aware the Spider is only supported PCI USB card

Isn't the USB drivers open sourced? Or Poseidon anyway? In that case it should work with standard cards. The Spider was a rebadged NEC USB2 card with modified PCI IDs. The driver should work with original cards now. But I don't know for sure.
