@klx300r

It's been annus horribilis (and maybe next year too), but still: Merry Christmas!

@BigD

TO CELEBRATE THIS HOLY SEASON, HERE'S A CLASSIC SONG WITH SOME EDITS!
BONUS POINTS TO WHO CAN IDENTIFY THEM ALL!

Quote:

Last decade I gave you my Amiga
But the very next day you installed OS 4
This year, to save me from Trevor
I'll give it to someone with a business plan

Last decade I gave you my Amiga
But the very next day you installed OS 4 (you installed OS 4)
This year, to save me from Trevor
I'll give it to someone with a business plan (with a business plan)

Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance, but you still catch my eye
Tell me baby, do you recognize me?
Well, it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me
"Merry decade" I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying "I love you", I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now, I know you'd fool me again

Last decade I gave you my Amiga
But the very next day you installed OS 4 (you installed OS 4)
This year, to save me from Trevor
I'll give it to someone with a business plan (with a business plan)

Last decade I gave you my Amiga
But the very next day you installed OS 4
This year, to save me from Trevor
I'll give it to someone with a business plan (with a business plan)

Ohh
Oh, oh, baby
A crowded room, friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you and your soul of ice
My God, I thought you were someone to rely on
Me? I guess I was a shoulder to cry on
A face on a lover with a fire in his Amiga
A man under cover but you tore me apart
Ooh, ooh, now I've found a real love
You'll never fool me again

Last decade I gave you my Amiga
But the very next day you installed OS 4 (you installed OS 4)
This year, to save me from Trevor
I'll give it to someone with a business plan (with a business plan)

Last decade I gave you my Amiga
But the very next day you installed OS 4
This year, to save me from Trevor
I'll give it to someone with a business plan
with a business plan

A face on a lover with a fire in his Amiga (I gave you mine)
A man under cover but you tore him apart
Maybe next year we'll give it to someone
I'll give it to someone with a business plan
with a business plan
So long...

@Lou A couple of years ago I went on a flight from London (UK) to Auckland (NZ) with a stopover in Singapore. I took my TomTom Satnav unit in my hand luggage and was able to use it throughout both legs of the flight.
Now I suppose you are going to tell me that my flight was never more than a couple of hundred miles from the coast.

@Hypex
If a book from the 1900's is your only source of information about the scientific theory of evolution by means of natural selection, then your knowledge is sadly out of date. I suggest you read a few books that were written in the 21st century and throw out those authored and compiled more than a thousand years ago. The god of the bible is as fictional as the gods of Asgard and Olympus.
You claim that science has not verified anything, you are wrong. Science has calculated that the distance between the earth and the sun averages 93 million miles, yet nobody has verified that by extending a ball of twine to the photosphere, so how do you suggest that distance is verified?

@MEGA_RJ_MICAL

Very nice. Raphael Tuck, of course, was one of the prominent post card distributors in their day and specialized quite a bit in holiday cards.
He also had a passion for the Mad Hatter as well (evil grin)
