Happy 3/14 Day.

Wonderful party . 4 members of our local Amiga group showed up at the party of about 50 ... of ages 7 to 71. Even a campfire in the backyard on what might the coolest day & evening until next October .. we'll see.

My contribution was 1,000,000 decimal digits of pi on 1 page and 2 bottles of Apple *Pie* beer. I did my initial work with Python on my Amiga X1000. My experiences with a million digits led me to a website where instead of base 10, a guy had a server with 13 million + base_27 so that each "digit" could be 1-26 for for the letters of the ASCII alphabet. My 5 character last name shows up twice in 13 million characters of Pi, whereas my son's name of 5 characters was not found. Seems like 13 million is waaaaaay too small a dictionary.

All of this is happening in the midst of SxSW's 10 day event here in Austin, TX coupled with the University of Texas 50,000 strong student body on "Spring Break".

Quite a Wednesday.
