I'm sorry this isn't available for the Amiga. With the right drivers / dev tools / licenses I'm sure it would be able to run.

I don't have a next gen console but I do have a MacBook with Bootcamp and I've been toying with buying Sonic Mania for ages (to be this good will take SEGA ages ). It is a great game but the PC support for PlayStation Pads is poor and I mean REEEAAALLY poor! OpenSource efforts exists but they are hard to configure. I know this isn't directly Amiga related but if the Amiga was still a mainstream platform we wouldn't need to endure this PeeCee faff. Since I've worked out how to configure the PS3 pad for USB cable use, Bluetooth and even tweaked the settings for Steam I thought I'd share it with you! SCPToolkit seemed the most important element but there were lots of tweaks required too!

BigD's Guide and help to get a PlayStation DualShock 3 Working with a PC

I should probably start with some 'big picture' stuff first! The workaround for using Bluetooth enabled DualShock 3/4 pad requires a additional Bluetooth 4.0 Dongle. If you don't use a dongle you'll quickly find your new SCPToolkit driver has stopped every other Bluetooth device working with your computer's built in Bluetooth other than the PlayStation Pad! You've been warned! I chose the Asus USB-BT400 as the forums and Wikipedia proved to me it worked. Some other chips/devices that work are listed here:

https://github.com/nefarius/ScpToolkit/wiki/Compatible-Bluetooth-Devices

Some great links on YouTube to configure things though SCP DS3 wasn't as good with Bluetooth as SCPToolkit so although the drivers seem to be the same investigate SCPToolkit first.

The second one is VERY important!

Start Windows 7 with holding down 4 and the F8 and then select boot with Disabled Driver Enforcement

Also you have to run as administrator (right click option) to install the 360 drivers and the SCP DS3 drivers!

Bluetooth connection requires SCPToolkit see here:

D-Pad Problems and configuring the DS3/4 on Steam

I had to enable, Xbox controller support in big picture, then untick the option that says "use steam configuration for non-steam controllers" under the "manage" tab for the game. Then I disabled Xbox support again. My pad works fine now. The same thing had to be done with prey apparently. Trust valve to add a feature that causes more problems than it solves.

I had to do the same - changing the d-pad type to cross gate did not work with the dual shock 3 - had to unselect XBox Support!!!

To avoid Bluetooth latency problems put the computer on High Performance power setting:

https://github.com/Jays2Kings/DS4Windows/issues/62

Finally...

... Make sure in the SCPToolkit installation that you leave the Bluetooth USB Host Controller alone as that is the Mac's inbuilt controller!

The Asus USB-BT400 USB Bluetooth Accessory shows up as BCM20702A0

@Thread

Oh yeah and the game is GREAT by the way! It's just like you remember the old Mega Drive games with all the bonus 3D stages thrown in. The polish is excellent and the fact that it doesn't look dated means they've put a hell of a lot of work into this. Extra rings bouncing, awesome parallax scrolling and particle effects that wouldn't have been possible on 16-bit machines abound! It's also great news it will get a physical release in the Summer! Good job SEGA trusting Christian Whitehead to actually release a good Sonic game in 2017!!!! Now all we need is a PSVR version of Alien Isolation
