Then imagine when you are going to play a game today with your son you not played in a couple of weeks or months and have to wait 2 hours to download all the latest updates. Not only the game but OS updates, driver updates etc etc. This it at least what I have experienced several times so things are even worse in that regard.

Last weekend was my first introduction to a Nintendo Switch. A curious device that seems to lack any latest innovation in 3d graphics. A CD32 could compete. Almost. We got half through gaming until it did an update. Of the controller! I couldn't fanthom why a controller needed an update. It was working fine, did it suddenly break? It wasn't efficient, as it did the controlllers one at a time. I expect these things to work in parallel these days.
