Hi
OK One last update. I was digging out a spare Esc key as the replacement keyboard's is missing. I managed to find a spare Esc key but the stub was broken. I then realised that the busted off stub that I found on the other keyboard I removed ( see below ) was the broken off stem from this key. How odd. I managed to piece the keyboard back together and even found the spring. Good thing I never throw anything away... or not. Dunno.
UPDATE: Fixed it. Swapped out the keyboard for another and that cured the problem. I decided to take a look at the other keyboard and found the problem. Under the keys in the general region I found a broken plastic stub about a quarter inch long off something. Was a pig to get it out. So probably the keyboard is OK now... Thanks for reading.

I have an a 1200 with 4MB PCMCIA RAM and a GVP Turbo. Just of late I have noticed a problem with the keys F and G, none of the others. They go missing at times. Sometimes I can re-open say Notepad and they will reappear other times I can keep hitting them and they will eventually come back. Sometimes a soft boot does the trick. I always get them working eventually. Thing is it isn't a sticking key or the old sideways push like I do on one of my 500s. It feels more of a signal issue than a mechanical one.
