It's ROT13 - the message says "Every 33 years".

The 23rd will be 33 years, so I think you are correct!

Seriously?

And does it matter?

Our attrition rate must make focusing on this market difficult.

"Do you remember when...", posting new announcements didn't play on anticipation?

@NutsAboutAmiga

Private registration is very common nowadays. In fact, Namecheap offered it to me for free on my last renewal. So I don't think this in itself is any indication of a scam.

I thought both these site were owned by Amigakit. What comes up when you look at this site?

It's obvious that this message has something to do with FriendUP, thus making it clear that someone from our side of the fence has control of the domain now!

My guess is that Trevor, Pleasence, Titlestad, Battliliana, Matthew, and the rest of the gang had some fun late hours recently, and has cooked up a new exciting plan for Amiga/FriendUP.

We all know they have met more than once the last years, and often in a very FRIENDly atmosphere (insert good beers) And as Trevor is an investor, and it's former Amigans in the Friend company, who loves the Amiga way of doing things, then perhaps something big is coming!

I really wonder what such a plan could involve

Wait! they are perhaps making a new Amiga beer called "FRIEND"

The first beer ever with no hangovers!

Comment has changed - now it says

2B7DE69877C89AB038ADC85E65E64C82FF1AFB4F3224A9DE44BFACFAB990E333

Doesn't look as simple as hex->ascii, darn

@severs

I haven't figured it out either. I need Ralphie's secret decoder ring.

---

It's not UTF-8 -- there are continuation bytes missing in multiple places.

---

I tried to decode it as Sha256, Ripemd256, Snefru256, Gost, Haval256,3, Haval256,4, Haval256,5, and Base64 without success, but it's late here and I might have screwed up.

I thought maybe the lower 7 bits might be ASCII, so I masked off each byte with 0x7f, but it's still garbage.
