| Can anyone pass along contact information for Chris Hames? He is the author of PC-Task and other software.
The only contact information uncovered so far is an email address at pacific.net.au but it bounces.
Thanks :) |

He left Amiga scene like more than 20 years ago furious about piracy of PC-Task, I very much doubt he is interested in being contacted about it. _________________ B5D6A1D019D5D45BCC56F4782AC220D8B3E2A6CC |

How bizarre. Who would want to steal a PC emulator? An old free PC would be faster. I bought a version 2 or 3. Came across a version 4, but don't recall if it was from a coverdisk or somewhere else. Last edited by Hypex on 09-Jul-2018 at 01:42 PM.

You've probably seen this? Someone persuaded him in 2010 to make public domain PC-Task, but the contact email seems to be the same domain you posted. This was the latest info I could find on him.

"old free PC" in the mid 90s were rather big monsters._________________ B5D6A1D019D5D45BCC56F4782AC220D8B3E2A6CC |

I picked up a cheap IBM desktop at a computer market early in the naughties for $15 local. It was a P90 with on board video. I decked it out slightly for internet use and gave it to a friend who needed a computer. On price alone it totally crapped on any old Amiga at the time. A bare A2000 went for $50 locally which by then was pointless compared to the features this IBM had. The Amiga market lost it after that. |

Well, that was not the mid 90s when PC-Task was actually a thing. _________________ B5D6A1D019D5D45BCC56F4782AC220D8B3E2A6CC |
