Any news on Amiga.Org website? I know it was taken down for maintenance but that was weeks ago and the work has gone weeks over the time they had stated and now if you try to reach the site you get a 404 error..

Anyone have any news?

Weird. Works here but the forums are down so doesn't really do a lot at the moment - just a links page really - but no 404.

Ahh my shortcut went a bit deeper I guess.. it worked last week, but now does not, but Amiga.org DOES in fact work but as you stated only shows a few buttons / links but the links do not appear to be live yet..

Well at least I can see the site so it looks like they are still working on it anyway..

Amiga.org is a very large website and a lot more than just a forum. It was overdue an overhaul.

We have had to migrate to a new server, move each part of Amiga.org over and bring each service up one-by-one. The last parts to complete is the forums and the bug reporting.

The Amiga Developer Network (www.amiga.org/developer) has been running again for some weeks and so is the official Amiga.org Wiki (wiki.amiga.org)

The forums are fully migrated to new software and they will now need to be beta tested to ensure there are no problems. My plan is to invite selected long standing Amiga.org members to beta test them before finally re-opening the doors to everyone.

Amiga.org/developer and AmigaDeveloper.com were links to the same hosted content since 2014. The AmigaDeveloper.com domain was adopted at the time as it is easier to remember URL.

No, it's not. Nobody cares about random proprietary content you parked on some obscure subdomains - amiga.org is a community portal, period.

But making it a link page that points to all sorts of stuff and hides the forums somewhere below a link to a facebook page and an "Amiga.org" store is so absurd it's almost poetic. It's a good thing amiga.org was already murdered by you and your predecessor years ago - otherwise this would be a sad day.
