I say "let it go" my friend. Dwelling on the past is self defeating.

@Nonefornow

Is the joke Amiga Inc will never again return to the heady heights of Snowman Maker? Not so much funny as depressing. When will the Spanish lesbians be allowed to get their domain back?

@NutsAboutAmiga

The source of the amiga.com index page now contains the comment "Fabjzna Znxre yvirf", which is ROT-13 for "Snowman Maker Lives." I can't get excited about that personally, but there it is.

@amiga.com

Such whimsy may seem clever in the moment of passing utterance, but it fosters a deep discontent.

Better to build bridges than set them ablaze.

Ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find.

One wonders if the comedians at Amiga Inc read this and were... well, whatever the opposite of "inspired" is.

Yesterdays heady heights are todays footless precipices. It's an issue of linear perspective dependent upon one's own point of view.

@bison

I don't think it really needs translation.

Folks, if our words mean anything, let's resist the temptation to use them as an outlet to relieve the tension that has built up over over years and years. We can't judge another's motivations, only actions, so let's be consistent in word and deed as we try to find passage forward.

Too be sure, there is much worthy of stern criticism, but I expect little of that has remained unexamined by now. Although it is clear ambition has met with shipwreck time and again - it is clear there have been dubious actors at the helm - we still want to right the ship to the extent possible.

Far better to pour each one's energies into building and enjoying what remains possible. Maybe there are some positive surprises in store for a change.

Cheers.

The ROT13 now says "As long as people kept worrying that the machines were taking over, they wouldn't notice what was really happening."

@Snorg

Cant see any surprise coming out of Amiga inc. But knowing Amiga's bad luck when it comes to stuff like this they will most likely win the court case and then carry on doing nothing for another 15 years.

I'm going to bow out now. I have my own thoughts on the what and why of the message, and it is not good.
