| HI all
With the current rate of progress and lack of news on the situation. I wonder if the A1222 will be release in 2022 LOL

I think it comes out this year, next year, or not at all.
Probably the biggest variable is Hyperion. As goes Hyperion, so goes the A1222.

2022. LOL.
The followup model, A2022 will come out in 2022, err, when it's done.
As to rate of progress. Same rate as ever. I'm guessing.
News? None I can see. The only news is that a more normal CPU should have been chosen so it would be less work to port OS4 too. It's similar to a Sam 460. Might as well done another 460 for bargain price.
Will A1222 live up to its name? If that name is a relatively reasonably priced model and performance to match then yes. It will live up to that. When it's well done on the barbie Last edited by Hypex on 20-Aug-2018 at 04:41 PM.

I went to the A-EON website to learn more about A1222 but I found no information there on it. Where is a good place to get information about A1222?
Whilst on the A-EON website I clicked around and when selecting any product on the left such as ImageFX, an error occurs to the effect that the hosting account has been suspended.
Is this normal? |

The blog seems to be the only functional link on that site. Last updated March 2018. Is A-EON still active? |

| I think the question is will the A1222 be released at all? At some point it just becomes pointless to spend more resources on it. Everyone who decided they wanted one when it was announced in 2015 will have lost faith in it and moved on. IMO, if it doesn't come out in 2018, it's dead. Listened to it again. I particularly enjoyed the reference to Phoenix Consortium and the difference in how ideas were exchanged then vs the closed society of the current Hyperion administration.

For the A-EON website yes it is. I don't know what is going on but a host of links are broken including the contact buttons. Since no one can actually contact them to tell them perhaps this is why they aren't fixed yet. LOL.
Seriously though I would have expected every website to have a built in debugger and if you tried to save a page with a broken link it throw up an error. You can't compile a program without fixing errors. So why in this day and age are webmasters allowed to upload broken web code?
Just thinking on my keyboard. |

Heh... I had to write plain old HTML without any tooling / debugger earlier - and it frustrated the hell out of me... I'm so used to errors being picked up by webpack / ESlint / vue cli...
Indeed, the modern web stack is a platform in its own right - I've built tons of electron desktop apps for work, loads of mobile apps (well - utilities)... they're all JavaScript... |

I know some people that edit HTML by hand. And I just wouldn't want to do that. Any XML based language with less thans and greater thans all over the place is not what I consider a human editable language. To me a computer is made for that. Unless s keyboard has "programmer keys" like the Amiga did on the keypad I don't want to touch those symbols frequently. |

The work put in for Tabor support might make it worthwhile to revive the Ultimate PPC card for A3000/A4000. |

| I think I need some form of multicore support to AmigaOS (to play with) before I buy A1222 or A1-5000. _________________ - KimmoK // For freedom, for honor, for AMIGA // // Thing that I should find more time for: CC64 - 64bit Community Computer? |

Do you have a NG a this moment ?
When I see the benchmarks in benchmarks of SPE software, ok only 1 game ;) upgrading to 1 core Tabor is allready a nice upgrade from a Sam460ex. |
