Hey coders and amigans ,
im on a SAM 440 with OS4.1 Final Update 1.
And im trying to get wookiechat working as it did on my micro A1..
Problem is when trying to connect to IRC servers like EFNet and Amigaworld,
I always get the message : failed to gethostbyname(), its pretty anoying !!
II checked the install script and it should work , I have all the mccs and internet is working
im typing this in Odyssey !
Hope theres a fix, since i like Wookiechat better than IRCCLOUD on my IPad

Are there messages on the server screen?
I'm thinking something along the lines of "you're not verified"

In the wookie server settings, you can add a pw for the servers.
You probably registered previously and just need to enter that with your nick.

It could be that, sometimes i cant even connect to the server, and get
the aforementioned error!
I sadly cant remember my particular server passwords and , which is unlike me, didnt even write them down
What a downer...
I tried creating a new server entry in wookiechat, with the data :

Server: irc.amigaworld.net and port 1024, atleast then it connects to the amigaworld server...

It will send and email to the email account you registered with

But when I say i connects to the server, is because thats what it informs me when trying to connect, but im not able to write commands to the server , because I never get that far , I just get that darn error message!

Pingresponse = Destination host unreachable..

Can you connect the A1 HDD up and copy across the files? Or boot the Micro and copy from there.

Ill try putting wookichat files from the micro A1 unto an usb stick, and copy them
to the SAM
