HI all

Im a happy bunny today thanks to Chris Appleton on Amiga facebook page my CDTV now has a working CDROM Drive hip hip haray. Now just need front panel for the Card slot thing and a new commodore badge. Oh and some games is there any where apart from ebay for game/software#

PS Chris did not repair my drive he sold me one of his at a very nice price. Such a nice guy

Nice to hear. I've just bought some CD caddies for mine (not black ones, unfortunately).

If you find out where to find games, please post as I hope I'll need some, too.

Great to hear! My CDTV hasn't been unplugged since it was plugged in over 20 years ago, but I suppose it's still working if the clock is any indication. I should check to see if it's still connected to my A/V system and if it's still working otherwise.

Does the Cdtv have battery backup clock?

i like cdtv better than cd32 i think cdtv was make lot better than cd32 ..


on cd32 we had to send it for repair as lid broke and it was not any good when it come back

The lid connector isn't the best and I have one with a broken hinge. The plastic is way too thin to take the constant lifting and closing of the lid. Saying that I guess they never thought they would last this long.

What is the real shame is that the CD32 wasn't incorporated into the A1200 as planned and the unit just didn't make the shelves. It would have made all the difference to the 1200.

What is more of a shame is that CD32 did not get AAA chipset with chunky GFX mode and instead got that limp Chunky to planer conversion chip.
