At boot up I get past the spinning ball and laser.
It will go to the white screen and hang at that point.
I attempted to install from cd at will hang after the cd runs.
Could the Hard Drive be bad. I have contacted Amiga on the lake and waiting for a call back.

@Jand909

Does the X5K fully boot from the CD?

If it does then the motherboard sounds OK and looking at what you are installing onto would be a good idea.

If it fails to boot from the CD then you have something going on like video card maybe with a driver issue or memory or something else.

Has this booted before and now just stopped or are you building an X5K your self?

Need specific video cards and such to run.

First is to confirm it boots from CD so you know the main m/b and video card and memory is OK. Then move down the list.

@amigasociety

No it does not at the uboot it will show that it is loading the files
And complete at 100% then hangs at the uboot screen
The system has booted completely from hard drive before the issue just showing this week. I did a boot attempt and the video did come up at start up on the monitor twice so possible video card issue when I started the system. Though I had to leave for so I can attempt when I get home

@Jand909

Bummer... yeh if it was running and then stopped, something is going on.

Booting from a known good CD is a perfect OS that should boot if all hardware is working right.

If I were you... I would make sure only a USB keyboard and mouse are connected to the motherboard ports and make sure no other devices are connected to make sure no USB device is a culprit.

If that fails to still boot from CD then I would pull and reseat the memory and PCI cards.... in case just a bad connected.

If that fails then system of elimination on each device. I tend to try video card 1st as I have extra of those. I seldom of extra memory handy.

Good luck.

Hopefully AOTL can help you.
