There are several utilities in X-Dock's 'Dockapps' drawer, but there are no docs for all of them. How should the 'RadeonMem' dockapp be configured and used? I tried to drop it in the dock, saved X-Dock's settings and rebooted, but doubleclicking it doesn't do anything. The program does not have an icon file, so I tried also to choose 'CLI' from the settings, but it did not help. Any advice...?

What should the 'Triangle' dockapp do...?

There was in some discussion mentioned a dockapp for reading the CPU temperature etc. of X5000. Will this be an updade for the Enhacer 1.4, or is it only in 2.0?

BTW, the 'Clock' dockapp gives grimreaper every time I try to open it.

Regards,

Gregor

Hi

Open X-Dock and select menu item Edit dock settings.. and X-Dock Prefs window will open.

Click Buttons tab

Click the fourth icon in named Add a docklib application.. and a requester will appear titled Choose a dock lib application to add and directory Progdir:DockApps

Select the Dockapp you want to add and press OK button

The Dockapp will appear on the X-Dock.

It is an example DockApp - the source code is in the DockLib SDK directory so other coders can see how to create DockApps.

@amigakit

Alternativly right click on the dock and choose Add Dock App from the menu.

Remember to save your dock settings to make the changed dock permanent.

Some dockapps have a context menu entry, right click on the dockapp in the dock to bring up configuartion and other actions.

Triangle dock is an example dock that displays a triangular icon with a click count in various ways.

Thanks! Also the clock works now.

But how about the X5000 temperature dockapp...?

When I try either way to add one of the dockapps, a shell comes up with 'AmigaOS: Unknown command'. On my X5000 SYS: is called 'AmigaOS 4.1' (with a space) and is a NGFS partition.

Have been trying out X-Dock, had an idea for drawers.

What about an option to have drawers behave a bit more like they do when left out on Workbench. Dragging files onto a drawer icon would copy the files into that drawer.

Clicking would open the drawer still, but an option to open the drawer in Filer or similar instead of a regular WB window would ber nice.

@dan.hutch

Doesn't X-Dock already do that? IIRC there are two operational modes you can set for a drawer added to a dock. I can't remember exactly where but I'm sure it can, and also shows a notification for the files being copied.
For me it was one of the most welcomed features of X-Dock

@Amigo1

Appears I had an older verison installed, found option now I've updated, although not sure what the command should look like if I want X-Copy to delete the original file after copying to the new location. Any ideas?

This is the default:

APPDIR:X-Copy COPY SOURCE "{s}" TARGET "{d}" HIDE
