| @A1200 Maybe it's just the fact that it's in the "Amiga gaming" section instead of "Windows gaming" or "whatevergaming" on AmigaWorld.net forums.
I've clicked on the topic, thinking 'cool! nice stuff for my miggies!' and obviously I will never ever able to enjoy it. That is frustrating :-p Otherwise, i would never read this topic you know...
@JosCanPer Great job with the remake by the way, looking great! good luck with it! _________________ A1200PPC / Sam440ep / Sam460ex / X1000 / X5000 OS4.1 |

That’s not always true, a lot games are replicated on PC and then back ported to AmigaOS, AROS, MorphOS. At least this games that are written in SDL or Allegro are relatively not impossible to back port. The classic Commodore/ESCOM Amiga, already has the games, there often nothing that will improve the games beyond a higher resolution or the support for RTG.
In most cases a direct port from 680x0 assembler is impossible bourse often the source code is lost. Or the source code is barely readable because poorly structured code, in many cases it need complete root canal filling anyway, as most Amiga games, where coded to access the hardware not the operating system, so be major undertaking to make the game system friendly.

What I mean is 'When I click on a topic inside the 'Amiga Gaming' section of an Amiga forum, I expect that the game will run on an Amiga platform' but appart that what you wrote is true.

| Wow, I had no idea how much attention this post got. Thank you all for your kind words.

Just the original game. To be completely honest, I've never played Antheads, but who knows.... once I have all the assets and mechanics it should be way simpler to do the sequel. but let's start with the first first :)
I have just published the second devlog video:
Devlog 2 : UI Systems and Gas station
You can find more information about this update on my blog.
ICFTD Remake Blog : Devlog 2
I'll try to be more active in this forum anyway

This is (to me) the most impressive video you've posted so far. Looks very good and captures the spirit of the original game, very nice! |

I assume they use a ready-to-use engine on PC so a port is not possible |
